Guest Peeves
Malfeasance in the sense of wrong doing by screwing the tax payer with sweetheart contracts we can't afford, with over staffing, with featherbedding, allowing loafing and cutting work, absenteeism and overspending on frivolous unbid contracts, expense accounts and perks. Well like it happened to Greece, the chicks are coming home to roost. Question is, with so many watching the Toronto process, will others belly up to the bar? Holding breath.... We can only hope. Boges
Well I've very curious to see the details of the CUPE 416 contract that is being voted on today. It'll set the framework for other public service negotiations in the future. I've heard news reports that have workers saying it wasn't as bad as people thought. Me too. That's what brought it to mind. I worked for a city in a capacity I will not divulge, but I will say there is much room for cost cutting.
