olpfan1 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 meh, what's the point in being a card carrying member of any party? you don't have to pay to vote for them during an election, sounds like a waste of money Quote
WWWTT Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 meh, what's the point in being a card carrying member of any party? you don't have to pay to vote for them during an election, sounds like a waste of money If you want to attend conventions, receive e-mails from the party, etc, etc or just be more involved with any party that you support you have to cough up a little to play. Pretty much the same with anything else in this world, very little is entirely free. WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! punked Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 meh, what's the point in being a card carrying member of any party? you don't have to pay to vote for them during an election, sounds like a waste of money I guess it doesn't matter in the CPC or Liberal party because the leader of those party is allowed to over rule the membership anyway. In the NDP however the leader is bound to resolutions passed at conventions so you actually get to shape party policy. It is also why the NDP always has more directed policy then the Liberals. Quote
