The cargo ship, which usually carried refined petroleum products and chemicals, was carrying 80 tonnes of Bunker-C oil and 40 tonnes of diesel oil as its fuel when it exploded, the coastguard statement said. Oil leakage was not immediately reported.

Different fuels, with different viscosities, flash points and cloud points……And I bet poor venting (for the "thicker fuels") and lack of training and/or complacency on the part of the crew = BOOM!!!
