August1991 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) The Bloc has chosen (translated for you unilingual anglos) a pur et dur. IOW, the BQ is committing suicide. ---- OTOH, if you want to know more about the future of Quebec nationalism, I suggest you check rather this website: http://www.aussant.com/ BTW, both Aussant and Paillé have the Parizeau approval. Parizeau? Parizeau's first wife was a Polish blonde with some depth. His second wife is simply an exuberant blonde. Jacques Parizeau was born in August 1930. Mikhail Gorbachev was born in March 1931. Since their birth, both these men admirably changed their view of life. But now, they are part of history. I reckon that Parizeau believes that, like Henri Bourassa, he`s making independance a possibility in 2124, or so. And Gorbachev? I don't quite know. Edited December 20, 2011 by August1991 Quote
cybercoma Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Did the BQ believe people voted for the NDP because they really want to leave the federation? I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this choice. Quote
cybercoma Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 When I think about it, perhaps it's not that far-fetched. BQ voters maybe got tired of the same-old, same-old with Gilles. He clearly wasn't getting the job done, so they voted for the one party that the ROC finds just as hard to swallow as the BQ. This sent a message to not only the BQ, but also similar middle finger to the rest of Canada. With renewed leadership and sovereign ambitions, perhaps they'll return their votes to the BQ. Now, I'm not sure I believe that, but it's possible... I suppose. Quote
jbg Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Did the BQ believe people voted for the NDP because they really want to leave the federation? I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this choice. With the BQ, what logic? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
Jack Weber Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) The best thing I can say for Paille, from what I saw of him in the House,is that he's a Marxist traitor... By the way, that's not meant as a compliment... Edited December 20, 2011 by Jack Weber Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
