Topaz Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 The Privacy Commissioner has said that this plan should protect Canadian sovereignty and privacy rights and she concerned about this plan agreed on. This also does a lot of "harmonizing" with the two countries which always give the US the upper hand. One example give in the video is that in the US, companies add vitamins to candy and call it healthy! Our food standards are higher than the US but under this Harper is giving that away. http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20111128/new-border-rules-raise-privacy-concerns-111128/#ixzz1f8CON0WA Quote

eyeball Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 I don't care how harmonized they say we are, I'll believe it when I can drive a truckload of 6x6's across the border without triggering a lumber war. Argus Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Does this mean all those people who 'immigrate' to Canada, then turn around and fly home again will have to actually stay here the three years needed before they get their free lifetime medical insurance? Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley
