William Ashley Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) its all about the carrier pigeons and marathoners thats like 2000 marathoners for 8 years at $50k a few sets of keys for canada post vehicles and flights and 50,000 carrier pigeons it takes 1 million dollar missle to kill one billion dollar satalite. Why not just make secure protocols and implement optical networking. right they want to hold that gun to their own people to, satalite comms will never be secure what makes this worse is risk in payload failure. 1 billion is WAY too much in terms of cost it is nutbar, that is 1/250th of the annual fed revenue in terms of business tax this is like 1/40th or more of a years corporate taxes. Do all corps get access to this?sat com is way more in terms of cost than dsl itd make more sense to upgrade the comm lines and make them secure.. by tripwiring them with various failsafes like scourdroids to insure their physical integrity.. this and advanced comm algs that will be hybrid and dynamically evolving, over ten years it would take 10,000 businesses $10,000/year to pay for this sat this is basically imoosingna tax hike on thesenguys 2768 500+ employees (large employers) 6661 200-500 13337 100-200 While there could be some from lower employer brackets you can't expect it. Send a poll out and see if 10,000+ want to commit $10,000 per year to a secure coupling shared with 10,000 other businesses. even if this sat is secure all it takes is one unsecure sat up there to be hacked to act as a jammer or trireme. plus even up there is muds and pong realy worth $10,000 a year?
