William Ashley Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) I'm not effected by this personally since I'm banned from travel to the US, but this little measure may see 50+ million dollars migrate from canadian pockets to US pockets each year is worth mention. I'm more miffed at the secuirty cost incrwases on the canadian sides than thisn $5.50 surcharge, but it has you wonder, how much americans are paying to travel to the US. Where is the canadian surcharge? This surcharge represent more money than the Federal government gives to political parties in Canada, it is no drop in the bucket. Canada will have to slap on $20 to make the money back on America travellers. Edited October 24, 2011 by William Ashley Quote I was here.

msj Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 direct flights are usally better. who wants to travel to the US when there are cheaper and nicer countries to travel to pretty much everywhere else in the world. You obviously haven't been to the US in a while. It's a very nice country with a wide variety of geography, culture, entertainment, and attractions. My wife and I often go to the US for a "cheap" vacation but that's because to us "cheap" takes into account the value of our time. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy. Guest American Woman Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Where does it say that? It doesn't say that. It's only for those entering the U.S. by air or sea. Edited October 24, 2011 by American Woman Quote
