I'm not effected by this personally since I'm banned from travel to the US, but this little measure may see 50+ million dollars migrate from canadian pockets to US pockets each year is worth mention.

I'm more miffed at the secuirty cost incrwases on the canadian sides than thisn $5.50 surcharge, but it has you wonder, how much americans are paying to travel to the US. Where is the canadian surcharge?

This surcharge represent more money than the Federal government gives to political parties in Canada, it is no drop in the bucket.

Canada will have to slap on $20 to make the money back on America travellers.

You obviously haven't been to the US in a while.

It's a very nice country with a wide variety of geography, culture, entertainment, and attractions.

My wife and I often go to the US for a "cheap" vacation but that's because to us "cheap" takes into account the value of our time.

If a believer demands that I, as a non-believer, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy. Flemming Rose (Dutch journalist)

My biggest takeaway from economics is that the past wasn't as good as you remember, the present isn't as bad as you think, and the future will be better than you anticipate. Morgan Housel http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2016/01/14/things-im-pretty-sure-about.aspx

Where does it say that?

It doesn't say that. It's only for those entering the U.S. by air or sea.
