Gee, an anti (everything present governmental) by the CBC & another by the Torstar-----whodda thot that could ever happen. What good (except the fee for the licence) would licencing have done ANYONE or changed anything?? Why does anyone (except the fee for the licence) need a licence to do business in Canada? Would they have done better if licenced ? I imagine the same bunch of looter/rioters would have still wreaked havoc with the same gusto as with an unlicenced security force, have smashed the same stores, burned the same cars & shops & sued the same cops for being there and interfering with their vandalization of downtown Toronto. can you say fukemall? So the government breaks it's own rules and you are calling another government entitiy anti-government? Just another item on the string of screw ups that was the G20 summit in Toronto. Quote
Topaz Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 That security company MAY have been licensed in B.C. so the RCMP automatically asked them, which doesn't look good on the RCMP. You have a have a security licence in Ontario both, as a company and as employee. Community college do offer the course for 400.00 for about 3 month course and if you are found working without one you can be fines $5000.00 and the security company you are working for, the license itself is around 90.00 yrly. I think the fine should have been higher because the $45,000 is nothing to the 21 Mil. they got! Quote
cybercoma Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 They should pay back the money. Quote
