Shwa Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) Curious case of the Tamil refugee...So the guy is frank; his wife was, apparently, but recanted. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks likes a duck, chances are, it's a duck. Right? Stay or go? Tamil migrant in Canada says he unknowingly took part in bombing VANCOUVER A Tamil who says he had to flee Sri Lanka after the Tigers used one of his possessions in a suicide bombing should not be deported, an immigration adjudicator has ruled.Michael McPhalen has rejected the governments effort to have the passenger aboard the migrant ship MV Sun Sea deported after concluding there is no credible evidence the man knew he was helping the terrorist organization in the bombing. A Canadian government lawyer pointed to interviews with the mans wife in which she says her husband helped the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam, a terrorist group that has been banned in Canada. But in later interviews, the mans wife recanted. The man told immigration authorities that he sympathized with the Tiger cause and viewed its leader as a good person. He even had some Tiger propaganda on his web page. I would be interested to know what "possession" of this guy was sold to a Tamil Tiger and then used in a "suicide bombing." I suppose that if they let it get out that the guy sold his car, it might just spark some public concern about the reasoning behind the decision to let the guy stay. No shit Sherlock. The guy has "Tiger propaganda" on his website and he had no idea!?? Edited August 6, 2011 by Shwa Quote
William Ashley Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) The evidence was thrown out by the courts, I think this was already decided and people are manipulating the legal context because they lost the case. The evidence wasn't strong enough, CSIS lies, the police lie, there is no way to know, the judge made the call, end of story unless there is an appeal. (and yes judges lie to) There is no way to know. This is why the security certificate system and secret trials are so backward... it totally sidesteps the legal process. Sure the courts can still lie or be political, but the fact is, there was already an examination of this hearsay and CSIS's report was thrown out as being "invalid" due to lack of support for the evidence - example an illegal wiretap, since when does CSIS turn into the people who won't lie. Intel lies to get its way especially for public manipulation. I don't know if it happened in this case, but I don't kow if it didn't. its not as if the CIA who lists the tamils as terrorists, couldn't have put a false recording over the line using voice technologies. Fact is we don't even know if this discussion really happened. WHERE IS THE PEN? WHERE IS THE PEN? If he had it WHERE IS THE PEN? Fact is that I think it is more likely the guy was a liberal political aide and attached to csis, and that is all this is about because the "puppeteers" are cleaning house or a deep operation of some sort for propaganda or deep cover. Same story with the toronto 18 stuff.. there are a bunch of other instances of former political/csis aids that this same sort of false context was presented on. This is all nonsense talk though. Fact is the evidence was thrown out, why even have courts if the political people are just going to do their own thing anyway. The case was decided, where is the apeal? End of story. As a potential tamil the guy is probably monitored by the NSA/csis/rcmp now anyway for the rest of his life, what does it matter.. I wouldn't be suprised if echelon or other systems were used to monitor anyone who was suspected of terrorism or http://www.darkgovernment.com/news/a-glimpse-into-nsa-monitoring-capabilities/ " NSA's eavesdropping mission includes radio broadcasting, both from various organizations and individuals, the Internet, telephone calls, and other intercepted forms of communication. " - in foreign countries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Security_Intelligence_Service t is responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting and disseminating intelligence on threats to Canada's national security, and conducting operations, covert and overt, within Canada and abroad Edited August 6, 2011 by William Ashley Quote I was here.
