scouterjim Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) the area. She lives in Vancouver (800 km away). This riding is Prince George-Cariboo. She has admitted not knowing much about the area. The Greens did this last election, and got few votes. Do the Grits honestly think it will be different for them? (At least this time the Green candidate DOES live here.) Very few people will vote for somebody who doesn't (and never has) lived in this riding. Talk about stupidity. Battletoads Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Can't blame em, I wouldn't want to live in the norther interior either. Quote "You can lead a Conservative to knowledge, but you can't make him think."

Personally I was quite enchanted when I visited Barkerville a couple of years ago, and gave serious thought to buying an adorable little house I saw for sale in the nearby town of Wells. Quesnel looked quite lovely as well; too bad about all the native gangsters. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

That comment sir, not annointed with a smiley, doesn't fit in the spirit of these pages. I been there. It's OK. Like most, better than some worse than others. And what makes your neck of the woods so freaking wonderful? Quote The government can't give anything to anyone without having first taken it from someone else.

No traffic, no crowds, less pollution, outdoor activities galore, magnificent scenery. Yup, like I would trade that for the noise, traffic and crowds of Vancouver. That is why I moved away from Vancouver. Quote I have captured the rare duct taped platypus.
PIK Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 My lib candidate moved from here along time ago ,became a lawyer in TO and does a iggy and pops up out of know where ,puts her parent farm as her address. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

scouterjim Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 The Nations Lakes circuit northwest of Prince George is terrific as well. Quote I have captured the rare duct taped platypus.
Bryan Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 The thing about Prince George is that the Liberals know that they have no chance. One might see parachuting Sangreeta Lalli in as a crass move, or trying to pull something over. The truth is, they couldn't get anyone to waste their time and money running. They needed a paper candidate, so they grabbed a like minded UBC student because at least she'll have some energy and naive enthusiasm. It's not like it'll make a difference on voting day, and at least Lalli gets some experience. Quote
