August1991
You can basically adjust the thing like a dial. You are very seriously in error if you think the US Fed can "adjust the thing like a dial".At best, the US Fed is like a fire department. It can sometimes stop fires, and prevent properties losing value. But it can't make properties gain value. "Adjust the dial"? The US Fed can no more control the real interest rate than a Hollywood producer can decide the success of her next movie. Oleg Bach
First there is iron..and that changed the world - then bronze and copper...copper is a great substance and is considered a semi-precious metal...the stuff is a scrap collectors dream these days...silver - is neat stuff also...Gold is the ultimate substance - the finest conductor of electricty...you can put it aside for a billion years and it does not decay - disipate nor is it subject to common rust...and the stuff can be put in the human body with no ill effects... Gold is valuable..as in art...etc...NOW paper or digital money is a con game...a belief system...a ruse...and the tool of liars...for instance if a man makes a billion dollar deal...no money or anything of value changes hand..just privledge...and with the privledged they are entitled to call a letter or a bank note valuable..when in reality the greatest banker is as poor as your local crack head..but don't tell them that - they find that offensive. You must BELIEVE...like in a religion that one person is rich and master and you are to submit to their authority...this belief system has worn itself out and NOW the high priests of banking are buying up the gold because people are getting wise to them being frauds.
