Im in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and those Global Warming bastards are partially responsible for the lack of preparations for this Flood.

They ran around telling everyone it was never going to rain again and we would be in Drought forever.

Every Dam in Queensland is at 100%

THEY LIED

PEOPLE DIED

Yep this is true, if you have no knowledge of the actual science.

I'm still waiting for proof, which means something other than a comment posted on another website...
Here is stronger evidence of directly link between the AGW obsession and the floods.

The Queensland governments belief that water conservation should be a key priority in this speedily warming world of ours appears to have led to the situation where local dams were allowed to get dangerously full. So in recent weeks, the Wivenhoe dam was running at 150 per cent to 180 per cent capacity, which means that the authorities had to start releasing water from the dam at the same time that the rain-caused flash floods were hitting Brisbanes river system effectively contributing to the deluge. It is surely worth asking, at least, whether Queensland officialdoms embrace of the ideology of climate change, its fervent belief in future manmade drought and thus the need to store as much water as possible, made it unprepared for the current flooding of the Brisbane area.

At this point I would say it is accurate to say the Brisbane floods were caused by AGW policies.

Nope the floods were caused by cold water in the Pacific Ocean, and the strongest La Nina event in more than 50 years possibly combined with Atlantic Ossilation peaks. The flooding happened all over the southern hemisphere, not just in towns where local officials believe in AGW

Good grief

I think we should study the possibility that La Nina might be causing escalating levels of stupidity on online forums...

A flood is only something we care about when water levels rise to the point where they afftect human settlements. In this case, La Nina may have caused the higher than normal rainfall but the flood in Brisbane was entirely the result of bad planning on the part of officials in charge if the dams.

IOW, like Katrina, this flood was a human made disaster that did not need to happen. In the Katrina case it was simply a case of officials being cheap. In the Brisbane case we have officials responding to the useless predictions of AGW alarmists. If the officials had instead looked at the historical data they would have realized that Brisbane was due for one of these mega-rainfall incidents and they should have prepared.

Holy crap people were worried about drought in Australia.

it's like canada a very big place with a lot of weather variabliity tropical, desert and moderate regions...they're in their wet season now, then comes the dry season and potential droughts... from drought to floods it must be difficult...

Add in more poisonous things than anywhere else and I can't figure out why people would live there.
