eyeball Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 I'm bound for Hogtown on Saturday. It's been twenty years since I've been back for a visit. Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

eyeball Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Never been. It's on my list but I always seem to get pulled to Europe or to some nice sunny tropical place. Like Port Alberni? Scotland is big on our list, one of these days. I barely make it past Port Alberni on most of my trips out of town. Bonam Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Ate one sushi roll each and a cup of miso soup (for some reason the waiter made fun of us as if we should have ordered off the kids menu) and boarded the next flight for San Diego. Haha, probably because real men don't eat just one sushi roll. That really is like you ordered off the kids menu. Tell me it wasn't a California roll? Anyway, sounds like a nice trip. I'm off in Chicago at the moment myself. Slowly getting to see various parts of the US. Quote

Melanie_ Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Thanks for posting this, msj, I really enjoyed reading about your trip. If I ever get to San Diego, I will definitely check out Tim Cantor's gallery. I'm not going anywhere any time soon, but my husband and son are going to Kenya for a month this winter, so I might have a second hand story or two to share about their travels. Me, I'm just gearing up for another fun filled winter in Winnipeg! Quote For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. Bonam Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 (edited) A salmon roll. Based on the quantity of food we got from the the other restaurants I can see why it would seem its the kids menu. Ordered fish and chips - 4 pieces of fish. I would normally eat one. But thats why I'm not fat, I guess. I see I see. Yeah... when I go for Sushi, I usually eat 40-60 pieces heh. Big appetite here One reason to love Vancouver and its multitude of excellent all you can eat Sushi places. Skinny as a stick despite it, however. Chicago - there's a marathon I would like to do there someday. Have a good time! Not too much time for that myself, spent the week here at a physics conference presenting results from some plasma thruster studies. Flying out later today, just hanging out in the airport now til the flight. Edited November 11, 2010 by Bonam Quote

bloodyminded Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 We know times have changed when you can find a discussion about how much sushi "real men" eat. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
