dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 If they were so "clearly defined" why did Nasser boot the U.N. peacekeeping force and mass troops on th border. A good poster who educates people on the board quite well and uses respectful language. We rarely agree but we always disagree in an respectful manner. There are few that understand the Canadian constitution better than him, at least on this Board. If they were so "clearly defined" why did Nasser boot the U.N. peacekeeping force and mass troops on th border. Because they had been at war with Israel for more than 3 years at that point, and Israel had bombed Syria barely more than a year before. The war didnt start when Nasser amassed tanks on the Israeli border. It was well under way at that point. It started with a war over WATER that had been raging for three years already. TimG Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 You from Japan? if you are, you just have half blood from Chinese 2000 years ago when Chinese go to those Islands to teach your ancestors how to plant, how to do craft, and everything. there was no civilization before Chinese teach your nation.Yet despite that long history China remained a feudal backwater while the Japanese raced ahead by learning from the new kids on the block. Being willing to learn from others is a cultural strength - something the Chinese never learned until recently. And more than 1000 years or so ago another group of Chinese go to your country to help you selflessness. Even your language are full of Chinese. And now Chinese is full of English and its economy depends on technology developed the Japanese.Over thousands years Chinese go to any place do business and help others living better lifeChinese emperors were a brutal as the come. How many millions dies under Mao?. Quote

dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Pan-Arabism isn't about water....duh. Were talking about the buildup of troops on the Sinai. Which was the direct result of three years of fighting that had already been going on... a period of fighting between 1964 and 1967 that is know by Israelis as "Ha-Milhama al Ha-Maim" or in Hebrew "המלחמה על המיםor", meaning "War Over Water" in english. Like I said... youre trying to treat the 67 war as a new conflict started by nasser. It wasnt and no historian on earth would support this claim. It was an ESCALATION of a conflict that had already been under way since 1964. Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger

dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 In any case Its truly astounding that anybody would even try to compare the dispute over the Kuriles to the occupied territories. Its mind numbingly stupid, because the west bank is not a disputed territory. Unlike the Kuriles the west bank NEVER WAS a part of Israel, and Israel is NOT EVEN CLAIMING THAT IT IS!!! Nobody on earth is claiming that the west bank is a sovereign part of Israel for god sakes. Not Israel, not ANYBODY. Good grief.... Quote I question things because I am human. dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Since 1948 if you wish to take that route. No wrong again. There HAD been a few small scale skirmishes since the Armistice Agreements... once again over water. But they were few and far between until Israel completed its National water Carrier in 1964 and started diverting the Jordans headwaters, then bombed attempts by Arabs to do the exact same thing. This started a chain of violence that lead directly to the 1967 war. But we are off topic here. The topic is how stupid it is to compare the DISPUTED kuriles which Japan claims as their territory to the UNDISPUTED territories like the west bank that Israel DOESNT claim is their sovereign territory (nor does anyone else on earth). dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 The West Bank and Gaza were never Palestinian...nor was Prussia/Pomerania Polish. Yes they were... Those areas were given to the Arabs in the exact same UN resolution that gave Israeli proper to the jews. AKA the Partition Plan. Quote I question things because I am human. dre Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Laugh but you have no counter to the Nazi Grand Mufti. You just hope nobody mentions him...but that's my job. Iv destroyed this idiotic assertion a dozen times. But it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD, or the mind numbingly stupid comparison of occupied territories in the middle east with DISPUTED territories elsewhere in the world. Once again... the west bank is NOT A DISPUTED TERRITORY. Not a single country in the entire world recognizes the west bank as sovereign Israeli territory INCLUDING ISRAEL!!! This thread is about comparing the Kuriles to the occupied territories and how astounding useless that is. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem is not 'off topic' re: Israel and Palestine. Denying the Mufti's role in the Holocausts is...well...Holocaust denial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSUEx1cKUlg Looks like the Mufti...looks like Hitler. Are you claiming this is a fake video?
