Since when is "maleness" and patriarchy the same thing. Patriarchy is about the dominance of the male in both the familial and public spaces. I don't think anyone should have an unlimited right of dominance, not a father, not a cop, not even a King.

What's wrong with maleness? What's the problem with having authorship over ones own life? What's so bad about an experienced male (father) being the patron and protector and guiding light of his off spring or less experienced or less wise wife...? Patriarchy is not some hideous monster of oppression - it is simply fatherhood..those against fatherhood are usually wack job socialists that assume the position of father - which translates into animal husbandry by said state. Patriarchy is dispised mostly by other high level patriarchs who don't like the idea of other males having their own little kingdoms..Super patriarchs exist and are low key - low profile weasils that love to influence society and look upon it as their own private holding..that type of partiarchy I have a problem with.
