bloodyminded Posted August 17, 2010 Author Report Posted August 17, 2010 I am humbled by the personal strength and deepest of understandings that shows through with abundance in these words. I think I want to tear up now. We could all write a begining for this statement, could we all adhere to this ending? It's been said that compassion is wisdom, and there might be something to such a sentiment. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
jbg Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Yes, non-violence on their part would be significantly more productive than what they've tried so far. I agree but the words "productive" and (aside from Israel) that part of the world don't go together. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

PIK Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 It's Israel's stranglehold on the Palestinians on their land. The controlled roads, borders, air and water and the illegal settlements both in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have created discriminatory conditions for Palestinians that the blacks experienced from the Apartheid government. Don't forget the strangle hold the arab countries have on palatsine also. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
Peter F Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Be my guest. My point being if you want total agreement, go to Babble/Rabble. Sure. But I care not for total agreement. I enjoy your disagreeable posts. Makes me feel smrt. Quote A bayonet is a tool with a worker at both ends
