Those folks were incompetent enough that they attacked a target that barely had symbolic relevance. I wonder what the response will be. Probablt incompetence of some sort, unfortunately. Quote

Remiel Posted July 2, 2010 Author Report Posted July 2, 2010 I'm not sure why you would assume that. Pessimism towards the governments understanding of what constitutes an appropriate response? Quote
Smallc Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Pessimism towards the governments understanding of what constitutes an appropriate response? I'm betting that they know better what an appropriate response is than you do. Quote
Remiel Posted July 2, 2010 Author Report Posted July 2, 2010 I'm betting that they know better what an appropriate response is than you do. What exactly do you think I think an appropriate response is? The tone of your comments seems to suggest that you think I am pre-emptively beboaming the police going too hard on insurgents. Quote
Smallc Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 No, your comments seem to imply that you know more about an appropriate response than the police. I don't think that you do. Quote

I was including politicians as well, but either way, I think the evidence clearly suggests that the authorities do not effectively deal with political misdemeanours and crimes. Quote
Argus Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 I'm not sure why you would assume that. If we're talking the Surete du Quebec it's a pretty safe assumption. You mean the same force that openly admitted to infiltrating "protest groups" in Quebec City the last big G whatever/WTO meetings there? Unlike the Toronto Police Force.... Jack Weber Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 The Canada - US - Mexico leader's summit. Sure...Whatever...Useless photo-ops... The Surete du Quebec admitted to using "agents provocatuer" to infiltrate groups who were causing a ruckus...That's not bad for some overrated "Federalees" ,while the police in TO did'nt seem to know what to do last Saturday...
