maplesyrup Posted June 1, 2004 Author Report Posted June 1, 2004 Canadian's opinion of Paul Martin has severely worsened in the last few weeks. I wonder why. idealisttotheend Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 I think the Liberals would do well to go back to their what Shephan Harper said campaign and just hammer it home. The man is intelligent but is no politician and his previous record on the issues should sink him. Paul Martin by the lake does nothing to convince me he gives a damn about health care especially given HIS record on the issue. Kliege Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 They tryed that already idealisttotheend and it didn't work. Martin and the Liberals have to run on his record and thats there problem. After 11 years and 3 elections its all about them now, not Harper and the people know that. Quote
August1991 Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 What I don't understand is why the Liberals don't run on the economy. By historical standards, interest rates are low, inflation is low, unemployment is low, debt-to-GDP ratio is low and GDP is growing. If this were a US election, the incumbent would be certain to win. It's the economy, stupid. Instead, PM PM has gone off on all kinds of tangents - and now he's appealing for our sympathy! He's ADD. Quote
Kliege Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 This is not an american election and the Liberals, things don't work like that up here. Quote
