Maybe robertson was right and the poor haitians are paying for making that deal with the devil to get rid of the french. But what about the deforestion of haiti, would that make the damage even worse?

Not true...there are many personal and regulatory aspects of earthquake preparedness that transcend the Richter Scale. For instance, do you have a week or more supply of potable water and food on hand? I do....

While I do have that I don't think there is a building in my town that could survive a moderate to large earthquake. And that was the type of thing I ment. Whether the buildings would survive.
