maplesyrup Posted May 22, 2004 Author Report Posted May 22, 2004 I wonder which seats the NDP are looking at in Quebec. Perhaps one of them is the riding where Bill Blaikie's daughter is running in. This election is beginning to look sweet. Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. Kliege Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 I really don't see the NDP picking up any seats in Quebec. To gains ridings in that province, the NDP would have to take votes away from the liberals which will only allow the Bloc to come up thru the middle and take Liberal ridings on the island of Montreal were the Liberals have their most support. Prediction Bloc 53-57 Liberals 19-25 Quote
Slavik44 Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 well only 47% of lib. voters in quebec are set in stone (according to a poll) unfortunantley even if you got a good portion of that 40%, it would just give the bloc another seat...but i guess you never know...but it is highly unlikely the cons or NDP will get a seat, unless their support is focused in jsut a few ridings. August1991 Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Perhaps one of them is the riding where Bill Blaikie's daughter is running in. I thinking she's running in Sherbrooke against an impressive Liberal candidate who will probably lose. Her candidacy is something of a PR joke (but not in Quebec). (Who is Bill Blaikie?) Neither the NDP nor Tories will get any seats in Quebec. There are about 20 safe Liberal, hard-core federalist seats - the kind where Daffy Duck could run for the Liberals and get 87%. The rest will go BQ. Quote
