I've read that the Liberals have said they spent $2 million dollars on these ads.

Think that is how much for the ad and air time. Don't know if it includes a few more English ads.

They may have already gotten a few hundred thousand in free publicity on the ads.

Well, in fairness, I remember similar ads from a different leader last election.

Me too, and I remember the Liberals on this site mocking them.

I certainly didn't criticize it for what he was saying or wearing. It was an attempt in Harper's part not to seen negative all the time.

I remember the media had a field day and certainly some posters including Tory ones mocked him for the ad since it seemed out of character from past ads.

Not really a bad start. The Libs have to start somewhere - people just don't know the guy yet. The English one is positive, the French one is more hard-edged.

This is probably by design....The Liberal fortunes were looking up in Quebec the last Federal election,to the extent that there was any wiggle room for anyone othe than the Bloq.Basically, the Tories are DOA in that province so any Qubec Tory seats are probably up for grabs, and they are most likely Federalist ridings.

In English Canada, primarily the Maritimes and Ontario,Ignatieff is most likely trying to build on any gains the Libs have made since he took over.

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

Someone is trying to combat these Liberal adds with a little social media of their own.

Yikes. Hanging Iggy with his own rope.

That's definitely not majority territory, especially considering the 3.1% margin for error. It's too early to tell if this is a spike or a trend, regardless the libs haven't really gone down or up, they've hovered around the 30%+ mark for the past few months.

Which the pollster himself says is not close to a majority and pretty much with within the margin of error. You think it is enough to win the seats in Ontario and Quebec for a Tory majority?
