Smallc Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 It's not the job of the CBC to make money. It never has been. Since most people in this country support the CBC, it seems you're in the extreme minority. Quote
jdobbin Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 CBC Politics not cancelled. http://www.thehilltimes.ca/html/index.php?...wsroom/&c=2 CBC Newsworld's supper-hour political news program Politics will not be cancelled, says CBC spokesperson Jeff Keay.Since the show's iconic host, CBC News Senior Parliamentary Editor Don Newman, announced recently that he is retiring, rumours have been swirling that the show might get swept up with the cuts coming down at the public broadcaster. Smallc Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Evan Solomon? http://www.cbc.ca/arts/tv/story/2009/07/15...espondents.html I'm not sure how that will go. Quote
Smallc Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) And Keith Boag and Susan Bonner are gone (from Ottawa). Nay on the first, yay on the second. I hope Terry Milewski does a good job. I used to enjoy when he was in Afghanistan (or was it Iraq?). Edited July 15, 2009 by Smallc Quote
Mr.Canada Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 I'll certainly miss the show and Don Newman. I also like his delivery style and his show was good but lets be honest the strong liberal CBC bias was always present. You'd have to take everything with a grain of salt. I also like that other show CBC has @issue I think it's called with the 3 panelists. 1 Liberal/Red Tory(Maclean's Guy) and 2 left wingers. However as with almost everything the CBC does it's strongly Liberal biased. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog

You'd have to take everything with a grain of salt. There were very rarely cases of bias on politics. I also like that other show CBC has @issue I think it's called with the 3 panelists. 1 Liberal/Red Tory(Maclean's Guy) and 2 left wingers. However as with almost everything the CBC does it's strongly Liberal biased. Are you kidding? Andrew Coyne is a libertarian, not a red tory. I would say that Allan Greg would qualify as a red tory, and Chantel Hebert as a Liberal. Quote
Smallc Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) This isn't related to Politics, but I would just like to say that Tom Clark is doing an excellent job on his show. He holds people to account almost as well as (if not as well as) Don Newman. I'll definitely be watching. Edited September 11, 2009 by Smallc Quote
