jbg Posted May 8, 2009 Author Report Posted May 8, 2009 The UN is only a reflection of the world, as it is - no better, and hardly worse.No. It's a reflection of kleptomaniac rulers. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? Argus Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 The UN is only a reflection of the world, as it is - no better, and hardly worse. We're quick to find faults somewhere else, where at issue is our own hypocrisy, and persistent inability to live by the same standards we like to be applied to others. This incident is only another token to that, out of countless more. The UN leadership is hardly a refecltion of "the world". It is, by and large, a collection of ruthless, thieving murderers. I might be a cynic but I don't see the world in quite those terms. As for hypocrisy, and all that "we're quick to find faults somewhere else" crap, it's not "finding faults" to point out the murderous nature of most of the world governments who will be attending such a conference, and the hypocrisy of hearing them whining about the human rights abuses of Palestinians. Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley

myata Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Of course, feel free to get busy with bashing "murderous" polemics while the reports of dozens civilians killed by our "liberating" (of duresses of life?) efforts are rolling the media as we speak. Certainly, death itself should feel different, nice, fresh, and liberating, not really the same, from the hands of the great freedom givers. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant
