Smallc Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 This is all a strategy that Ignatieff is working on. He's expected to use the convention as a jumping off point. Fact is, Rick Mercer is wrong. Ignatieff doesn't need to say anything right now. He isn't in government and he doesn't want an election. Quote

85RZ500 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 I think Mercer wants to go skinny-dipping with Iggy. They'd make such a sweet couple, LOL Bobby Rae could make it a threesome. Quote
Visionseeker Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Truth replacing satire? A few Liberals thought it amusing. ` Ask Preston Manning about the value of policy conventions when an election is around the corner. There's no point in the Liberals showing their hand in this environment and, basically, no real public expectation that they do so either. The satiation of expectations will likely come through small feeds during a campaign. Quote

He waited until the very last possible moment to unveil it, not giving his opposition a chance to break it down. With the Conservatives looking for something to base attack ads on, the Liberals have to keep some things under wraps until they have dotted all the 'i's and crossed all the 't's. Look what they did to the Green Shift. I'm not really expecting policy until an election campaign. Right now all levels of gov't should be focusing on the economic crisis. That's not the way our system works." Stephen Harper.
