I must admit to Obama-fatigue (and I don't even have CNN). Who cares who is on the podium?

I at first admired Obama's ability to avoid serious error but I'm beginning to think that he's a victim of circumstance. He's a guy who has spent a lifetime cultivating "cool" and his coolness has now seduced a large portion of the media. This is Obama's talent.

Pierre Trudeau in 1968 had a similar coolness but even with Trudeau's greater depth, four years later in 1972, he could barely eke out a minority government.

Sure, PET was cool, but not this cool, and certainly not in worldwide scope. Obama has only been in office about 90 minutes....he won't need 4 years to lose the much larger coolness blume.
