tamtam10 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) In a poll conducted recently, if Canada were to hold an election now, The Conservatives would win a strong election. Full results of the poll here: http://informedvote.ca/2008/12/torries-tak...ad-in-new-poll/ I think the author brought up a good point - Canada's shift in opinion could be a result of the Liberals wanting to form a coalition with the separatists. Argus Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 In a poll conducted recently, if Canada were to hold an election now, The Conservatives would win a strong election. Full results of the poll here: What difference does it make? There is little discernable difference between the Tories and the Liberals on policy issues anyway. At most you can say the Tories want to appear tougher on crime, and are grudgingly more generous towards the military. That's about the entirety of their differences. The Liberals remain unbearably arrogant, dishonest and hypocritical on all issues, of course. That's about the only thing which makes the Tories more favourable a choice for me. We get the government we deserve Argus. :/ I'm not even sure if the Conservatives got a majority now that things would be much different. I think all politicians go through a best-before-date and I think that this bunch went through theirs. I think if they had of had a majority at the outset it would have been a great government, but not so much now. Power has overtaken policy, unfortunately. The Liberals need to shed the left wing of their party for me to vote for Ignatief however, they have had entirely too much power ever since Chretien left. We'll see what policies Ignatief comes up with. And who knows, maybe Harper will get better, I'm just not betting on it at this point. Hydraboss Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Polls or no polls. Does it really matter who the hell you vote for? Brian Mulroney pulls the strings on the Cons. (man, I hated him) Johnny Crouton pulls the strings on the Libs. (man, I hated him) We have these quaint little discussions about which team is better or worse for the country, but there really is no difference. Both will pander to Kwebek and Ontario because that's where the votes are. Hell...vote for the Rhino party for all the difference in outcome it will make. No, I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist. Mr.Canada Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 THe Tories will lead the polls for a long, long time and will lead us to a majority in the next election. These secular-socialists hate to hear that it makes them veery crazy and causing them to lash out wildly, it's like being at the zoo. Pay no mind to them and hang out on our side, the right side, the moral side. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog
