I have "Pepper" by the BHS playing right now. Annie Im not your daddy is one of my all time faves. Of course a lil Parliament when one wants to get funky with the women. Quote

Topaz Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Today Harper and Iggy had a 30 meeting. Harper said, "stand by me" and Iggy said "we aren't gonna take, no we aren't going to take anymore! Thank you Twisted Sister for the song!!! Can you imagine if the 3 parties stood up in the Commons and started to sing that song!! Quote
Oleg Bach Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Holly shit~ are you telling me that after 30 minutes the two pea brains could not figure out that the world is watching and the fate of over 30 million people is at stake. Get over it Iggy and Steve! Do your job - this is not high school. Quote

Can you imagine if the 3 parties stood up in the Commons and started to sing that song!! At least Harper can say "we tried to work with them" as the opposition votes down the budget and we go to an election. It's all about optics. Harper is planning on smearing them on all angles. Oleg Bach Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Harper represents the old guys in the office towers. Men that feel so useless that waging a war and killing the "toxic waste" that they consider Islam makes them feel like men - sorry - not good enough! This war in Afghanistan is base on superfical modern men in an artifical environ - competing with primatives to see who has the biggest balls. Quote
mcqueen625 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 The reality is that the coalition is all but dead with the departure of Dion, and his replacement by somebody with enough common sense to realize that to defeat this minority government would maen the end of the Liberal Party, since nobody knows for sure that the G.G. will not simply call an election if the government is defeated. Even she knows that the Bloc does not represent the vast majority of the people of Canada, and that they are simply a provincial protest party who's only concern and reason for participation in such a travesty is to hold Canada, the Liberals and the NDP hostage to get whatever they want for Quebec. Anyone with half a brain should realize that the Bloc has only one mandate, and the ROC can go to hell in a hand-basket as far as they are concerned, because all they are interested in is Quebec, not what is best for Canada. If the G.G. ends up calling a general election, the Liberals and the NDP will not be able to run again as separate entities as they have now exposed themselves and clearly shown the people of Canada that neither are any different from the other. They both stand for socialism, and socialism spells a tax and spend mentality, which is the last thing Canada needs in times of global recession. Quote

What were we supposed to do? It was a NATO obligation.. An attack was made on American soil. Now on the other hand, it was Harper who wanted us to enter the Iraq war Quote
democrassy Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 'The coalition' is too bland, and sounds like a 60s rock band dressed in paisley, or a vaguely threatening galactic threat from another Star Wars installment.I very much like the name I've seen here, The Bloc Torontois. It captures the prominent role of the Bloc Quebecois right up front and center where they belong in this saga, and the dreadful events about to unfold. And it adds the strong flavour of the dominant Liberal cult based in Toronto. Three Dressed up as a Nine Three Dog Knights The lion, the witch and the bored knob Quote
mcqueen625 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 So happy for u but just remember, what goes up must come DOWN!! Do you really think the supporters of the other 3 parties would change to Harper? Why didnt Harper get his majority the last time? Do you agree with a PM that take away RIGHTS to strike, if needed? Do Cons supporters are against Canadian rights? Even many Liberal MP's are not in favour of Dion's power grab, and they know that by Dion aligning themselves with the NDP and the Separatists they have lost even their traditional support, and are even having major problems raising funds. The Liberal, and the NDP are virtually bankrupt and cannot afford to fund another election campaign. The result will be just what they don't want a Conservative majority, and the disappearance of he Liberal Party for decades. The Liberals have shown themselves to be a leftist-socialist party no different than the NDP, so when it comes time for people to mark their ballots, they are going to look at the NDP / Liberal alliance and choose the Conservatives instead. Why would any national party (Liberal, NDP) ever want to create the situation we would have under the coalition which would give the balance of power to a group of separatists? Some say, but the Bloc won't have any Cabinet seats. Duh!! They don't need Cabinet seats to control how the vote will go, they will simply tell the Lieberals and the NDP what they want in return for their support. That scenario is similar to a situation where the owners of multinational corporation do not run for political office. The answer is they don't need to because they own whoever gets elected anyway.
