eyeball Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) Oh one must always assume allegations are true, right? No, but when Ottawa tries to keep public inquiries from happening its usually safe to assume something that would bring disrespect to the government happened. The fact it's their own government, and that there really is no viable alternative other than spending tens of millions of dollars to bring them back here and give them refugee status has no impact, whatsoever, of course. We have rapists and murderers walking our streets because the hand-wringers are worried that sending them home will cause their governments to treat them with less than total respect and admiration. By the same token we have a government that's trying to keep Canadians uninformed about what's being done in their name in Aghanistan. I'm assuming this is so they can keep pretending Canada is on a noble admirable mission. Would it be worth wringing our hands over this if it weren't true? Oleg Bach Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 No sorry, in the war on terror, nobility is a liability. Bizzare terminolgy "war on terror" ..what the heck does that actually mean? Does it mean we are at war with anyone that we fear? At war with anyone that we find scarey? At war with a nation that we fear may effect our economy that may generate a terror in us about being in poverty? If the last one was the case we should go take our hyper vigilant paranoid asses over to China - or maybe Saudi Arabia or perhaps go to the gay ghetto and face our homo-phobia - after all a phobia is a fear - I say invade the ghetto and send them all off to Cuba for a holiday - besides some of the gays must surely be Muslums.. Never have I heard of such a silly and rediculous phrase as war on terror. I am not terrified - so to have this so-called war - we must have a terrified victim - who is terrified - could someone point them out - certainly it was not our great protector Bush...he did not look the least bit terrified - In fact he looked like he was enjoying the whole idea.
