Declaration of independence from Russian Federation.

I, Nesterenko Yuri Leonidovich, ethnic Russian, born and living in the city of Moscow, because of:

- Russian Federation (Russia, RF) for many years was breaking it’s own Constitution, practically not being a democratic state, not guaranteeing the basic human rights and freedoms for its own citizens (including rights for free speech, free belief, free meetings and rallies), making impossible free elections and referenda, and indeed turned them into a camouflage cover for stealing and usurping the power; not being a social state guaranteeing normal living conditions and free development of man; not guaranteeing basic economical freedoms and so on and so far;

- As a result of liquidation of free and equal elections, since December 2007 the Russian Federation doesn’t have a legitimate parliament and since May 2008 - a legitimate President. All attempts of citizens and public bodies to stop this injustice had been blocked by the courts in Russia. That fact that RF’s court system is controlled by ruling regime is proved by enormous cases of the Russian citizens against RF won in international courts). So that, in present time, there is no legislative, executive and judicial powers in their legitimate forms in Russian Federation and there is no hope to restore them;

- As a result of erecting the so called “vertical of power”, and after canceling the free elections of governors in regions, the federative entities, the RF is no longer a federative state, not complying to its Constitution and not even to its own name;

- On a world scene, the RF carries out clearly a policy to escalate conflicts, donate and protect the totalitarian and aggressive regimes, interfere in the internal affairs of independent countries, and, recently, roughly breaking international law, its own commitments, its own law regulating usage of military power, without claiming a state of war, launched the military aggression against Georgia, followed by ethnic cleansings, massive destructions of civilian objects and other war crimes.

Therefore, I claim that I don’t accept self-proclaimed state of “Russian Federation” (further called “so called Russian Federation”) as a sovereign state, as a subject of an international law and as legitimate object at all.

Because of that, I claim myself free from all obligations to the “so called Russian Federation” and consider it as a territory occupied by illegitimate regime. In case of military or other conflict between “so called Russian Federation” and any country - member of the NATO, or any country – ally of the NATO, or any other country (except those, which state’s official ideology/religion is Communism or Islam) I commit to support the opponents of the “so called Russian Federation” in moral, political or any other means, that are not to break the international law. In case of me being forced to join the armed forces of “so called Russian Federation” for taking part in such conflicts, I will use my first chance to take side of the opponent’s of “so called Russian Federation”.

The fact that I do recognize “so called Russian Federation” as illegitimate doesn’t mean the denial of the right for self-determination of Russians and other nations living on the territory of this state. On the contrary, in accordance to the UN regulations, I welcome any movement of these nations to achieve their independence, based on the principles of true democracy and international law.

I urge all the people and states to do the same, to follow my path. It’s a difficult choice but it’s the only way to save the lives and freedom of people on the territory of “so called Russian Federation” and beyond its borders.

I believe we are on the eve of new Russian national state being proclaimed. Not "Russian Federation" but quite opposite. Russians are awaken. Sovereign status for Abkhazia and Ossetia brings an agenda of sovereign status to a Russian national state. As you might know, Russians still don't have their own independent country, legitimate state, where "Russkiy" could feel like a man. And the bell is ringing now. Listen to it.

I agree - Russians deserve to have their own country. Russian Federation is not national state, it's just another name for old soviet empire.

Although most Americans cannot believe this statement, but it's sad truth. In USA nobody knows who going to be next President until the the election day. In Russian Federation everybody knows who going to be president on next year election. Last election in RF had lowest number of voted public (less than 30%) and was completely fabricated.

from here we can see the rising level of national self-identification in Russian people. They no longer identify themselves with the state of Russian Federation. And this is good for the West too, because these new Russians are fully supporting main Western values.

What I found, it's not about Americans and US. It's about Russians and Russia.

And I found at least one Russian who's very different than you, "made in USSR".

In free country everybody can declare independence (remember recent notion of American indian tribe) without any fear.

But Russian Federation is not free state, it doesn't honor constitutional freedom of speech (not to mention freedom after speech ;-).

Nesterenko is very brave man.

If more brave men will join his declaration, Russians have a chance to get back freedom and reclaim the country annexed by Bolsheviks.

So, if Yuri Leonidovitch decides to declare "independance", I guess he's sort of like one of my neighbours in Moscow who bred dachsunds and persian cats in a 300 sq. ft. apartment. (You don't want to know.)

That's a good joke.

Taking into account that both Putin and Medvedev are very young for politicians and enjoy an 80+% popular rating (real or fake) I doubt they would be going away anytime soon. They should have enough time to implement their vision of new Russia - we will see if it's as grim as the West is trying to paint.

As to the freedom of speech - I agree that it's not there anymore. Even my former favorite joke website anekdot.ru has changed a lot - not only no Jokes about Vovochka (Putin) but not even about Gruzins (Georgians)... wow...

I don't care about your friends in Moscow, your jokes of neo-KGB and your fears.

There's no election in Russia's Federation, everything is fixed.

There's brave opposition to facist imperial regime in Russia and you're not part of it.
