This morning the news is reporting that the Conservatives in London are already putting up their campaign signs even thought the election hasn't been announced as yet. This is just another example of how this government operates... it cheats, scams and lies!! IF Harper is so sure he going to get back in, what's the hurray??? I don't know what the GG said to Harper but I would have told him to go back to Parliament and at least TRY and then will see about an election. MY question to Harper would be HOW is Parliament not working when all this time the Conservatives have boosted of HOW MUCH they have achieved!!!!

And the ads are hitting the airwaves (of a simple family man). So one myself yesterday. And the election isn't even called yet. And it was supposed to be fixed day anyways. Right?

Guess not, if somebody somewhere wants it really bad.

Who cares? We'll get what we deserve.

We deserve better but won't get what we deserve until 2012. I wouldn't wish Harper on my worst enemy.

I wish him on our worst enemies. I hope he wakes up every morning wondering how we can more efficiently kill more Taliban.

Yet another reason why Dion has been a disastrous leader. With a majority of Canadians opposed to the Afghan mission, Dion signed on for a two year extension thereby depriving voters of yet another reason to vote for him.

Incorrect.

A majority of Canadian are not opposed to the Mission bet instead want a time frame.

Topaz, what exactly isn't criminal in your world. I'm gonna guess it encompasses anything outside of the Green Party platform.

Afghanistan Extension

July 10, 2008

Abstract: (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - More adults in Canada believe the House of Commons was wrong to lengthen the country’s military mission in Afghanistan, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies. 58 per cent of respondents disagree with the decision to extend the mandate until the end 2011, up four points in two months.

Too bad Dion signed on to Harper's extension. Most Canadians oppose it.

That's what I said.....it is the time frame they are oppsed to, not the mission.

It also appears that Canadians are resigned to carrying out the country's duty in Kandahar until 2011, but would oppose attempts to "lengthen or increase its commitment."

The survey said 57% of respondents didn't want to stay longer in Afghanistan, even if the request came from United States.

Sounds like not only do Canadians support the mission, they feel killing more Taliban than talking with is also a good idea

59% claim the Afghan people are clearly benefiting from Canadian efforts in their country

35% would agree with the Canadian government actively negotiating with the Taliban

And here's what I said:

"Dion signed on for a two year extension thereby depriving voters of yet another reason to vote for him."

A strategic error on Dion's part and one he'll regret.

My mistake, I thought you said this...

With a majority of Canadians opposed to the Afghan mission...

RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS

If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

I won't be voting for Stephen Harper or my do nothing back bencher Conservative MP.

OTTAWA — A new poll suggests a majority of Canadians believe the country is paying too high a price in blood and treasure for its involvement in Afghanistan.

The survey found that 61 per cent of respondents believed the cost of the country's mission in lives and money has been unacceptable, while only one in three - 32 per cent - said it was acceptable.

I think YOU should answer your own question. I want a trusting and respectable PM and Harper isn`t! He set an election date then when it doesn`t suit him, he breaks his own law! He said there no more money and they have to watch it and then today a report out they have spent 8.8 million or billion. Where did he get it from?? How many broken promises, how many lies!!
