bush_cheney2004 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Now here is something you don't see every day....Japan executed their infamous "Cannibal Killer" (and two others of lesser fame) with old school hanging. Japan has picked up the execution pace since last August. ...But even amid growing public discomfort in Japan over the continued use of the death penalty, the hanging of Miyazaki raised few little in the way of condemnation. His crimes may have taken place two decades ago, but the mere mention of Miyazaki’s name remains sickening for many Japanese. Unrepentant throughout his long run of trials and appeals, Miyazaki entered Japan’s public consciousness as one of the worst monsters the country had produced. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/worl...icle4156285.ece Note to self: Whenever so inclined, commit heinous crimes in Canada to avoid the death penalty! I wonder if a meat eating human tastes worse than the sweet flesh of a vagan? Japan is such a human hive of utlitarianism that students that fail exams murder themselves...so - maybe if the state murdered more through execution that the stess in the young might be eleviated through the diversion of public hangings..who knows - killing killers may be a good therapy? bush_cheney2004 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 ....who knows - killing killers may be a good therapy? No doubt....killing killers has a wonderful Old Testament symmetry. And this guy didn't even have a Homolka sidekick. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Oleg Bach Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 No doubt....killing killers has a wonderful Old Testament symmetry. And this guy didn't even have a Homolka sidekick. What no Homolka...for a second I thought you were talking about some fancey food or something vermented in a thousand year old rotten egg.. Maybe if the killer was blonde and blue eyed he could have found a helper that was perhaps a vagan...getting back to the old testimonial symmetry...did you know that the first recorded murder done by Cane was a murder done by a vegan and not a meat eater...Able made an offering of real nice fat lamb...and Cane offered vegatables to God...well - it seems good wanted the tastey chops and not the god damned carrots - so Cane got envious and killed his brother. What's true is that there are some people out there ignorant enough to think there are plenty of folk out there who have more compassion for this "victim of society" than his casualties. Quote

Guest American Woman Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Just ask "eyeball" on the Manson/Sadi Mae Glutz thread Just as surely as justice isn't synonymous with revenge, concern about the "victim of society" is not in any way caring more about them than the casualties. What would give you such an idea? Do you think it's impossible to care about more than one set of people at a time? God forgives all. Does that mean He cares more about the "victim of society" than he does about the casualties? I doubt you see it that way, and I take it to mean He cares about everyone. So why should "eyeball" have to chose to care about only one or the other? And how does caring about one translate to caring less about the other? It would be nice if people could actually listen to others' views and not ascribe feelings to them that they don't have. I disagree with eyeball on the Susan Atkins issue, but I would never accuse him of what you have and I don't believe for one second that there's any truth to it. Quote
