So why is it when the Liberals drive from Ottowa to Toronto to get a warrant signed for a seizure in Ottowa, you can find nothing suspicious with it?

Curious more than suspicious. Are they so broke they couldn't fly?

You don't find it suspicious that the conservatives forged documents? We can do this all day. Fact is a judge signed the warrant making it legal.

What forged documents the EC has said nothing about this, all the arguement has been over is how it was billed.

Why did it take a judge from another city to sign the warrant, or could it be that they needed to go "shopping".

There is an easy way to put this all behind. Harper needs to call for a RCMP investigation and if nothing wrong was done his name will be cleared and we can move forward.

Why an RCMP investigation? Won't the court case vindicate them?

Calls for suspension of officials

LeBlanc said that according to the affidavit, a Conservative ad firm told investigators it was possible an invoice submitted to Elections Canada by the Conservative party may have been altered or created by someone.

"This raises questions of possible breaches to the Criminal Code, including forgery fraud and falsification of documents," LeBlanc said.

LeBlanc also called on Harper to suspend all political officials alleged to be connected to the alleged spending scheme, including Transportation Minister Lawrence Cannon, Harper's deputy chief of staff and a senior policy adviser to government House leader Peter Van Loan.

LeBlanc said these people should be singled out because they "appeared to have been involved in the design and implementation of the in-and-out scheme" and not merely participants.

LeBlanc said his party is not suggesting they are guilty of any kind of criminal conduct, but that Harper should ask them to step aside during the investigation.

The news today said that the Liberals think they broke the law and that those people should be prosecuted. A lot of spin happening right now. If they are guilty they should be charged to full extent of the law.

Charged for what, they had independant legal opinion, the had legal opinion from Elections Canada, now that elections canada wants to change the opinion you think they should be charged?

What if a new government was elected in and said that all the deductions on the taxes you paid last year are now not admissable, they reasses you send you a $5000 bill for the now outstanding taxes, then charged you with tax evasion, what would you think?

This is nothing but a whole lot of nothing, those who want the tories deposed are screaming won't even listen long enough for the court case to see how the law is really going to intript this. What is really funny is that it those rightous people that brought us adscam tring to paint the tories with the same brush that they were painted with trying to say look look they do it to so you can elect us back in.

Well it seems to be thaet the Neo-Cons have been bad boys. Maybe they need some lessons from GW Bush on how to do a proper cover up. If you're going to steal dont get caught. No1 rule.

The CPC never stole anything. That was the fraudulent actions librals who stole taxpayer money, the CPC has been accused of spending too much party money in an election.

And did not, which is why they're sueing.

However, no taxpayer money was lost by their scheme.

Unlike with your party's many crooked and corrupt schemes.

It was Conservative money only, yet the Liberals steal millions but EC stands around doing nothing.

Liberals had their own in/out scheme in that they were paying campaign volunteers who then turned around and donated the money back to the campaign, thereby increasing campaign expenses and their refund. (plus a tax credit to the volunteer.

We do Conservative not get this. They get 60% of that money back from us the Tax Payer that is our money they are stealing.

They never got any money back that is why the conservatives are taking EC to court or are you so daft you don't get that!

They never got any money back eh? You want to rephrase that? They never got the money they aren't suppose to get back, back. There that sounds better.

They didn't spend it at the local level come on even if they are found in no wrong doing they still should not get that million back and you know it.

If the Liberals were caught doing some Ad Scaming before they got any money from it would that make it better? That is what you are saying with this arguement.

and then submitting the overspent dollars for rebates... don't forget that part, it's key!

Yes lets not forget that part because it is key, that is why the CPC is taking Elections Canada to court, PLEASE SEE IF YOU CAN GET THIS RIGHT THE CPC IS THE PLAINTIF, AND ELECTIONS CANADA IS THE DEFENDANT. THE CPC went to both elections canada and a thrid party laywer to find out if what they were going to do was legal, both said it was. Now someone at elections canada has a problem with it and didn't send out election refunds. It is Elections Canada that has to defend what it did not the conservatives. The raid was a witch hunt all documentrs pertaining to the campaign had already been filed with elections canada, but election canada went and even rated documents for the up coming election platform and strategy, why would they need these.

Show me where elections Canada said it was ok.

It’s the conservatives affidavit that they sought the advice from both third party legal counsel and elections canada. Elections Canada has not denied or disputed it.

If the CPC could not prove their case they never would have disputed or be taking elections canada to court. It is now up to elections canada to prove what they did is legal and have the right to change their intriptation of the elections finance law after the fact.

It looks like Elections Canada may not have followed its own procedures.
