xul
Democracy is a misnomer, a fairy tale.To measure democracy is simply from a + to a -, in relationship to the worlds currently considered (by some countries) most freer country, theoretically speaking of course. Democracy is a system based on the theory of that the political rights of everyone is equal. This is why it needs vote. But "pure democracy" system is very hard to established for that human being was "political rights equal" or "human rights equal" when man was created is a fariy tale. The "equal" is not the natural state of human being if anyone have ever been to a anthropological or archeological museum to see the hobby of those "stone aged people". The another cause is to run a country is a complexe business, the people who participate to run a country needs knowledge and abiblity. This is why democracy is not easily established in deveolping countries for they always has a lot illiteral peasants over-faithful religion believers who was easily to be manipulated by dictators, clergies, or western countries who manipulate these country by promising economical funds if some politican to be elected or enforcing sanction if other politician to be elected--this is why western countries always wants to enforce "democracy" to developing countries and most intellectuals in deveoping countries seem are "blocking" democracy in their country----if Canada is a country with 30 million illiterates, would you want those peasant sold Quebec or Ontario to America just for Mr.Bush would reward each of them a motorcycle and they would be praised by CNN? Lack of tolerance is also a fatal shortcoming in most of developing countries. Overpopulation and lacking of natur source, Majority rule would make circumstance worse for majority would deprive the minority economical(their political will have already been denied when the majority ruled) rights just like Mao's age in China (in Mao's time landlords are minority in villages and capitalists are minority in cities.) or genocide them(just like Germany, Yugoslavia, some African countries...etc.) But back to xul's question, in the case of China, TWB should be accepted. Communism is a system based on the slogan of everyone have the rights of economical equal. It always fell into tyranny because rights of economical equal is also not natural in human race. As a member of animal, we usually care ourselves more than care others. And as a member of mammal, we usually want to pass our properties to our children not share with others. So communists think they need to get absolutely power to enforce those guys who are unluctant to share their fortune to other. And after they take the power, for they also belong to mammals, so they also begin to grasp fortune for themselves or their children like the former one have been knocked down by them, this is why they would eventually collapse---to China, I wish it happens when our peasant majority have more tolerance to treat those guys who are smart and industrious than them so regain rich after Mao's tiem and have the ability to judge what kind of system would benified their long term interests not elect a Chavez-liked peasant president to benefit their shot term interests. xul
The fall of democracy? Ha ha. Good one. I love it.There is no pure democracy in the world today, but if there were, it would have nothing to do with China. XUL, you are either very naive or very disengenuous. Thank you for your honesty. I like to debate with people by a honest way. So western journalists could not suppose I'm the only Chinese who knows these especially after Russia collapsed with an honorable way and was mercifully treated by western country for they "free" something. I think this is why unelected politicians are still in power in China--just for they are immune from the lure of getting a Nobel Prize or being praise by western media.
