Bingo that is exactly what fires up their anger. It's jealousy, and they cover it up under the guise of Political Ideology.

If they don't like capitialism why don't they put their money where their mouth is and go squat on an ole homestead and commence to living off the land. Don't drink the water it's most likely poisonous, the soil will need to be tested also. Don't get me started on the toxins in the ole house. But what the hay they won't be feeding the ole capitalist machine will they, those who do decide to live like this should check themselves for a third nut or nipple regularly though.

Jealousy? I would considering the the consumers to be pretentious.

As for capitalism, it is about saving, not consumption. The savings then can be traded to further production or the saving are for when you cannot produce anything. Why are people afraid to lose their jobs. They have no savings. They stagnate the economy, like the auto-industry. Oh, they are too big to fail. Many people will lose their jobs. Thank you government making us dependant on your state supported industries. I am sure if Canadian Bank were as drained as the U.S. banks, we would see how poor people really are, like the Americans. It just shows how poor they are, without credit, but of course credit is debt, and in Canada, the government helps you get into debt through the education system. 10-30k in debt for schooling? A mortage, and car. Hell even these item are debt, because if the market fails, how are you going to sell your house? The state has made it so that emigrating is hard, especially for the poor, it is like white flight in Detroit. Only the whites could afford to move out.

Wow.. Bush Cheney needs to look up the word psychological projection.

So he's a mentalist? Consumerism is the weakest and most betraying of all religions. I spent 25 years with a person that was a very liberal consumer. When my mother met this woman she said "There will never be enough for this person" Mum pointed and gestured at her mouth - "in this end and out the other"...."No matter how hard you work my son you will be poor - I feel sorry for you" Old maw was right...consumerism is a religion...as long as this spend thrift was spending she was happy - when the money ran out she was horribly depressed and blamed me for not giving her an eternal supply of cash...to base your well being and happiness on the monitary is a mistake - be happy and enough money will come - push people towards consumerism and sorrow is the end results...I would rather be poor with a conservative partner and be happy - then spend for eternity and live in the consumers' slave hell.
