jbg Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 No, they are all has beens and punters in comparison to the mighty The Wiggles When my children were younger they went to some Wiggles' concerts. I'm amazed at how well they can perform in English, when their native language is Australian. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Is there no limit to commercial exploitation? What's next, ABBA tribute bands for the neo-natal preemies? With my daughters, we taped small speakers to my wife's belly and fed them a steady diet of George Thorogood, B B King and the odd old piece of FireSign Theater vinyl while they were developing in the womb. Today they are almost 18 and 12. They both are tops in their class at school and have always despised Britney Spears and all their ilk. I couldn't keep them from listening to the Spice Girls when they were hot, I admit. Still, I'm not sure that would have been possible anyway. chauchee Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 News from the chug of war! Everywhere I go? I run into minorities. No "white" people. And I get mad at them! For calling YOU white when YOU are pink! Period pink! Sure you agree that I could stick my head into a full toilet of shit and look the same. But you get a nasty period filled tampon and rub it all over your face. You will not look any different either. Put on a white shirt, take a picture....filter....and you will be PINK! Calling yourself WHITE is the greatest act of denial in the history of the world. And it took one f n chug of war to wake up the world to that! When people start calling you PINK instead of WHITE, what then? As for your kids listening to Britney Spears and Spice Girls versus your usual a ding dang doo crap? So what? Most of the pink boys listen to BLACK hip hop over your damn country any day! Remember your fiddle shit when your Ancestors did round dancing? Now today's music is starting to CONFORM to our pow wow beat. Your dead old people are rolling around in their graves complaining, "Dang Dan! I thought we killed off those injuns! Why they still up there pounding those damn loud drums????" Meanwhile, it is a group of pink boys n girls, smoking weed at the graveyard, wondering how they could get so spiritual? How do you like them apples! Quote

How do you like them apples! COUNTRY!!! You couldn't possibly be more wrong about where I come from! Pow wow beat and hiphop? Maybe. One's as braindead as the other. If you can't sing and you can't play and you can't write anything but simple ABAB rhymes, then you rap! If I want to hear decent native musicianship I listen to Derek Miller or Robbie Robertson with The Band! If you prefer pow wow hiphop then no wonder you've got problems! Give me a break! Maybe the Wiggles IS your speed! chauchee Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 But the fact remains, hip hop and dance music has rose above the market of country which has been here longer than hip hop n dance. You reserved us and wouldn't allow us to beat our drums. Now the world is beating the drums for us! Countless people of all colors are joining the rhythm of the new nation. As you sit and sing your fiddle shit. Country won't go away anytime soon, but the market has been outdone already! You have been here longer than any other immigrant! What is YOUR excuse! How do you like them apples? Quote
Melanie_ Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Chauchee, you are the funniest thing to happen to this forum in a long time! Your obsession with colour ("pink! not white!") cracks me up! eyeball Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 It is kinda funny isn't it? The fact is chauchee's right, even though I have bits of red and white here and there and even some blue and brown spots too I admit it, I'm mostly pink. eyeball Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 I usually get a little green after heading out to sea for the first few days every year, even after 35 years of working on the water. Melanie_ Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Chauchee, as entertaining as you are in this thread, I wonder if you have ever ventured into other areas of this forum. You make a lot of assumptions about the folks here at MLW, but I doubt that you have even informed yourself about us. Are you aware of the different viewpoints expressed by this community? Are you aware of the diversity of opinion on just about every topic? You have a very narrow outlook, focused on the injustices you perceive, and somehow think that we are to blame without even knowing who we are or what we believe. I can assure you that there is no "group think" happening here! Take off your blinders, stop seeing the world through the superficial filter of skin colour, and see people for who they are, regardless of their heritage. Or, continue to rage against your own assumptions, which have little basis in reality. That part is entertaining, but to leave it behind and actually participate as a thinking member of the forum would take courage and an open mind. Do you have these qualities? Can you go beyond the simplistic safety of assuming we are all stereotypes of the people you dislike? I hope so, otherwise you will be just another internet joke. Quote For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. Nelson Mandela
chauchee Posted March 3, 2008 Author Report Posted March 3, 2008 Diamond In the Ruff! It isn't exactly narrow minded. It is using this MEDIUM (forum) as a sword sharpner. Yes there are countless PINK people who love who I am on a daily basis. There are beautiful pink women who LOVE that I yell at them, "Hey! It's my wife!!! Honey!!! I'll be home in 2 hours!" The cool PINK women smile and wave. I prefer calling those women LIGHT RED WOMEN. The ugly spirited ones frown and right away pick up their cell phone and call the cops on me. Sure there are quite a few liberating "Canadians" out there, but they are far too outnumbered by what I refer to as "The A Ding Dang Doos." Go over to http://www.canadaka.net You will see a HUGE difference between here and there. There are SCARY racist people out there. Good looking Canadian women who have such capacity to imprison indian men with their works alone. Ugly tough Canadian men who have such capacity to shame and disgrace any of our women with their aggression alone. We indians have warriors like ME who are born into such a stand against such people who are alive and well and who have such an agenda to drive my cultural existence into COMPLETE extinction. You will read more of that...actually...all of that in my upcoming book. TBA. Finally, someone who has a brain! Melanie, progress. Just when I was sick of choking on bones! FRESH MEAT! Quote
