  1. I meant to say helping them to get a job with training and/or relocation assistance as required. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In practice, most jobs are "given" through personal contacts anyway.
  2. Wow, thats quite the claim. Care to elaborate?
  3. An attack thats on the level you'd expect to see at a playground full of little kids. Its not rocket science.
  4. What the hell do I care if the ROC takes the money from Klein and his cronies? I don't see much of it anyway.
  5. I'd rather argue evolution at a creationist convention than get involved in this thread of historical revisionism.
  6. I suppose its easier to throw out BS like this than to actually try to address or understand BD's post. Sadly, you'd rather make playground level attacks on it.
  7. Based on his performance to date, I'd have to say he got his gavel out of the proverbial cracker jack box.
  8. How do you determine if proper evidence procedures and due process have been followed? If the conviction is handed down, the court has already decided that the rules have been followed sufficiently. So in a sense, what you ask for as "proper evidence and due process" already exists, yet still tends to be wrong a rather alarming amount of the time. The problem with capital punishment is not that the system isn't perfect, its that it isn't even reliable.
  9. Keep in mind that one gene often effects many seemingly unrelated aspects of an organism. The production of gametes may well have been a useless trait "piggy backed" on a gene that did confer some survival and reproductive advantage via other traits. Over time, and countless other mutations, the production of gametes became indespinsible, and the trait that previously conferred the survival advantage may well have become useless itself.
  10. Who is left wondering? The people that cover their eyes when faced with the evidence and scream "No, you can't make me look!"
  11. So true! Ever since we quit making children crawl through carcinogenic shafts for 18 hours a day, look at how the juvenile delinquency rate has skyrocketed!
  12. At which point the "Intelligent designer" no longer serves any explanatory purpose and can be dispensed with.
  13. I'm beginning to wonder how this clown ever became a judge in the first place.
  14. Thats a whole lot of effort to go to just to concede the point to Eureka.
  15. Private, and, incidentally, determined to lose every customer it has.
  16. Do some research, Lazymf. Emery even went as far as to claim his income as revenue from "Marijuana seed sales." Right on his tax forms.
  17. Argus has been asked to provide evidence for his claims. He has failed to do so.
  18. Do a search on Austrian economics. You may disagree with the quote, but its not taken out of contect at all.
  19. Its nice to know that whatever changes, I can always count on Argus searching for ever new ways to justify his racist and bigoted views.
  20. I'll do you one better. Anyone who opposes SSM is unqualified for personhood. For your part, you don't seem to believe that an understanding of this nations laws is a prerequisite for a seat on the SCC.
  21. There is a rather sizable difference between simply being an optimist, and "choosing to focus on the positives" to try and salvage a weak political position.
  22. In actuality, any potential SC justice that opposed SSM would be unqualified for the job.
  23. Well, it could be worse.
  24. You're either misinformed, or you're a liar. Carbon dating has never been put forward as an accurate way to measure the age of the planet by any reputable scientist. The length of time that carbon dating is accurate to is on the order of thousands of years, while the age of the planet is on the order of billions of years.
