  3. Reading doesn't appear to be one of your stronger skills.
  4. That has much more to do with technological change than the outsourcing of jobs offshore.
  5. What I see is a thin skinned American woman.
  6. Just because you are unable to define the nature of the jobs lost does not mean I am living in the past. Perhaps the jobs you refuse to talk about are those good paying manufacturing jobs sent to third world economies.
  7. Say what you wish you are still being defensive.

  9. You seem to prefer circular argument. You have suggested jobs are gone forever yet appear unable to describe the nature of these jobs.
  10. The Manitoba election is going to be an interesting one to follow. It will be determined primarily within the City of Winnipeg.
  11. Which jobs are you referring to? Are you suggesting that a no job growth economy is beneficial to America? Do you not believe in the social contract?
  12. I don't understand why Bush-Cheney and American Woman are so defensive about the predicament their country finds itself in. As one of the world's premiere economies it is only natural for others to be concerned about the road currently being followed by the country to the south of us.
  13. Two years after the start of the recession, there still are 4.7 workers for every ONE job available. Meanwhile, corporations sit on trillions of dollars. Rather than putting some of that cash to use to create jobs, CEOs are enjoying massive pay hikes. In 2010, Standard & Poor’s 500 Index company CEOs received, on average, $11.4 million in total compensation — a 23 percent increase in one year. But rather than discuss what’s really key to America’s economy — creating jobs — Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill are derailing the country with their ideological games designed to give their corporate backers even more money — in the form of massive tax breaks for millionaires. Earlier this week, participants in a Jobs Crisis panel we held here, noted that many in Washington continue to push deregulation and tax cuts as the way out of the economic hole the country is in, without acknowledging the role that those policies played in creating the current economic conditions. Instead, the best way to get the nation’s job engine running again is through investments that can create jobs and increase demand such as infrastructure, education and training, aid to states, fair trade policies, long-term unemployment insurance and more. 15. Those food kitchens must be a sign of affluence.
  16. Usury has been institutionalized in the USA and is connected to the ability of corporations to manipulate funds both onshore and offshore. You don't honestly believe such altruism will alleviate the current circumstances in the USA do you?
  17. The news is full of articles about spending cuts or raising taxes, and cutting entitlement programs–but the cost of war is not generally mentioned, even though it is enormous. A study from Brown University says the cost of American wars begun in September 2001 ranges from 3.7 trillion to 4.4 trillion dollars. To make matters worse, the money for funding the two wars has mainly been borrowed, meaning the United States is on the hook for some huge interest payments. The interest alone on Pentagon spending from 2001 to 2011 has been estimated at $185 billion dollars. If the interest payments are not paid on schedule, they increase. By 2020, the interest payments could be one trillion dollars, says one estimate. Read more: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/deficit-reduction-talks-what-about-wars.html#ixzz1SIcCNoGy
  18. Are we the masses taught about corporate tax cheats and the accomodation between state and corporation?
  19. Are we the masses taught about tax havens both on and offshore?
  20. Could be. They are still mired down there and even with all that military might haven't even come close to "mission accomplished"..Dubya's famous phrase from Iraq.
  21. Of course.
  22. Well said. In my opinion it is much like Britain. It remains to be seen whether this is just a cyclical event or a more long term case of decline.
  23. Although full of value judgements you offer an interesting opinion.
  24. I am sure there are decent people who own guns notwithstanding the repetitive nature of your posts.
