  1. Televisions SHOWS yes. Channels, NO. I already showed you the TV ratings. Not a single US channel is in the top 30 in Canada..
  2. More than CBC's News CHANNEL, sure. Nobody in Canada watches that either. More than CBC news on the main CBC network? Not a chance Further, lets revisit how CNN's ratings in Canada are in December or January. A spike to a puny 1.5 during THAT specific election is understandable, but they aren't keeping any measurable number of those viewers down the road, you can bet your house on that.
  3. 1.5 million. So less than half of one per cent of the population. Even less than I thought. I was being way too generous when I said I thought it might be 10 percent!! None of those stations listed in your article were even in the top 30. http://assets.numeris.ca/Downloads/October 17, 2016 - October 23, 2016 (National).pdf Lots of American SHOWS in the top thirty, but no American CHANNELS. The only news program in the top thirty was CTV at 18. Also note something else in that article. It says CNN has better ratings than FOX News in the US. Do you believe that to be accurate? Because I sure don't.
  4. 90% of the time, the person referencing those stations saw a clip someone shared on the internet. Ditto for knowing the names -- someone told them who they were. It's REALLY rare for a Canadian to watch any US news channels. It doesn't even register on the Numeris ratings.
  5. US news is almost never watched in Canada by anyone. Most US programming is watched on Canadian stations. I couldn't even tell you what channel CNN is, and I have no idea if we even get MSNBC or Fox News. The only time I ever see any of those channels is when I'm in the US, or if a clip is posted to Facebook. The fake news that Canadian lefties watch is CBC.
  6. Cuba was not in a the same position as either of those countries. They have a vindictive powerful nation deliberately oppressing their economy. Despite that, they turned away from Communism and towards state capitalism BEFORE China did. What they have been able to achieve while under the US' thumb is nothing short of remarkable.
  7. Calling it a dictatorship shows a lack of understanding of their electoral system. But even if it was, that's still not relevant to what I said. You can force people to abide, but you can't make them love you. Cubans love Fidel. He was not feared, he was revered. There is a difference.
  8. As much choice as anyone has in who they revere.
  9. I'm not joking when I say you're proving my point. If that's all you got from his campaign, you did not listen to what Trump said, you listened to what the media TOLD you he said. There was a pretty big difference.
  10. Thank you for proving my point.
  11. A saint? No. A hero to the people in Cuba? Definitely. You could say the same thing about most news cycles.
  12. I sure hope so. Yeah, people with really short memories. He did, quite a bit. You should have tried listening to what he actually said, instead of what NYT, CNN, HuffPo, and CBC told you he said.
  13. Trump had a documented policy platform that was on his website right from the time he began the race. The media just chose to ignore it. You can say you don't LIKE his policies, but it's categorically false to say he didn't have any. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/policies/
  14. So it would be just like all of your other posts.
  15. I think he would use any complaints about that to his advantage. He'd just berate those who brought it up, probably call them bigots.
  16. It's not relevant if I like them. The issue is if they are true.
  17. Some "real" science makes it through occasionally, but it's a small minority of published research.
  18. Neither. Scientists find whatever they are paid to find, whether it's actually there or not.
  19. If Kevin O'Leary throws his name in for the CPC, you're going to see populism in spades. He'll have many of the same traits that drove both Ford and Trump forward -- an total unwillingness to even pretend to play politics. He'll give us exactly what he is warts and all, and he'll gleefully break with any convention when it comes to criticizing his opponents. Some will be appalled by it, but more than enough will find it to be a refreshing change.
  20. It's 9 days of mourning, millions of people are lining up to see the caravan pass, hundreds of thousands gathered in Revolution Square. That's news in any country regardless of why that many people have gathered.
  21. I'm aware of that. Those are still males. Note the Y. There are no "ZQ" or anything like that.
  22. Just because you want to make up a bunch of nonsense, doesn't make it reality.
  23. The explanations are made-up nonsense. Your gender is your sex.
  24. If you're going to go that, far, do it without a mirror! I used to have really long hair. When I was coaching hockey, the other coach and I made a deal with the kids at the beginning of the season that they could shave our heads if they won the city championships. We thought it was a safe bet, since this same group of kids only won three games the previous year. Well they did win, and they gleefully buzzed us in the locker room right after the final game. They made a serious hack-job mess, but part of the deal was also that we would go to work at least once with that hair before getting it cleaned up. So I did. It was hilariously bad, but most people in the office did not say a word.
  25. Nice to be in the drivers' seat!
