Gawd, let's hope we don't start loving babies. Although, I am surprised that instead of immigration, we didn't resort to 'baby mills' to address the low population growth. Even though it would prove that we loved babies.

Cruelty to animals in this country is so rare in fact, that the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Humane Society shouldn't really exist or have much business should they? Right Bill? There should be no reason for the poor treatment of animals to be institutionalized into the SPCA and Humane Society in our society because cruelty to animals is "rare" and the result of "aberrant behavior." Rare Rarer Rarer still

‘New mayor, new deal’: Ford seeks public cash for subway Mayor Ford went to Premier McGinty yesterday morning to try and obtain funding for one of his pet projects, a campaign promise, that he had initially said would be funded in part by the 'private sector.' Because we all know how the 'private sector' just loves to jump in and sink billions into public transit systems. Yeah? Well where is the private sector funding now? How come 'Ford Nation' isn't jumping on board to hand over their hard earned pennies and pay for it?

Canada's Crime Rate Hits 40 Year Low

I think we should get rid of idiot gun owners, or at least have a registry for them. -
.Why not humanist? It is an article of faith that those views were "ascribed to JC" and moreso when you dig into the authenticity of the content of text, which is where those views come from. But once you identify yourself, it is all religion from there on in. That includes you as well. No, Christianity is distinquished as a religion. Perhaps a definition of philosophy is in order. Here is your standard wiki cite - agree or disagree? How does Christ's "philosophy," which is derived wholly from a widely recognized religious text, compare to the definition? Now you can argue that his words - standing alone - might constitute a philosophy of sorts and I might tend to agree. But Christ was a Jew, not a Christian. All the rest - the "Christian" parts - is all religion. St. Thomas Aquinas - Christian and philosopher - so the two are not mutually exclusive.

The "flavours" all equate to a religion called Christianity. It is possible to identify oneself with a sub-category that still explicitly refers to the category. Crips or Bloods? Leafs or Habs? Etc. You'd have to convince others of that, not yourself. Besides, if you are using a term in a way that isn't "exactly logical" that sounds like an article of faith me. No, but I would refer to someone as a 'philosopher' that derives their own meaning from a given set of principles. In this case, you could call yourself a Hardnarian I suppose. Always looking to help out a fellow man because, you know, but for the Grace of God go I...

You mean my anti-white cult is all bleached. Suicide by bleach is nasty and anti-white. (but pro-white if used in the laundry) My playbook got bleached too, so you can't really read it anymore. white-suicide is a code word for anti-white. White Power! PS - removes stains too since you seem to be shitting yourself so often. -
No, but if the Kurds had done it to themselves and then some Kurd came on an Internet forum to whine about it, some other Kurds might have called it "Kurdish suicide." white-suicide = anti-white.

Seriously? Coming from a land of puppy mills, cruelty to dogs, over-flowing dog pounds, etc., you are trying the old heart-strings schtick? Gimme a break. I am sure all the women that are raped, sexually assaulted and beaten every day in the West might have something to say about that. You know, how "we" treat "our" women.

Actually it is human nature to congregate in social groups and often to address problems common to the group, collectively. From gangs to corporations. So in that way, it is more of a true statement for "them" to assert "someone is keeping us poor" and then address that problem collectively. That is why mobs can wield some pretty dangerous power. As SB clearly pointed out, the notion of "people as precious" is not an effective individual notion nor a notion of effective individuality, but is a notion that must be recognized, collectively, by "us" as a social group. It's a tricky problem to reconcile, especially when you have so many people giving themselves over to being batteries for someone elses toys or you have those who feel a true sense of entitlement, act on it, and unabashedly screw over others in the process.

Which will mean we have come full circle in some respects. The interesting aspect of it though, do we need to move to the same sort of historical ethic that gave rise to that supreme individual, or can it be achieved through the present course. That is, do we need to move back to some 'golden age' or at least the same attitudes to spawned the original 'golden age.' To a degree. My kids see it, they are aware. I am lucky enough to have kids that not only can perceive that possible side of my life, but they ask about it and can engage in sensible dialogue about their impressions about it. The older ones have taken steps to address it directly, mainly through independent means, their own business or a contract that is flexible enough to include their present interests. Which seems to be a prevailing response from time to time. Still there are those that will enter such a life with the idea that they might be able to change it from the inside, even if in a small degree. Some are more successful than others of course, but even small changes towards an orientation of that supreme individual is worthwhile and has likely been the normal course over history, as unremarkable as it seems in any given moment.

They are essentially referring to themselves as a Christian. If they said "I'm a Protractorean" or "I'm a Pastafarian" it would have a different context. By calling themselve a philosopher. You can use "Protractorean" which, until this post, had no entry in the massive Google word index. Call it a fresh start.

Anti-white is a code word for white-suicide. Stop anti-whiteness now. Put a black guy in charge for awhile. -
Depressed and suicidal? Call the Centre for Suicide Prevention. Anti-Racist = White-Suicide = Anti-White

So you are saying that it is "sick that these kangaroo courts are allowed to exist" over one case where the HRTO ruling was over-turned? You have got to be kidding me. Besides, that the case was over-turned by a higher court means justice works as it ought. -
Maybe, but only if they claimed themselves as a pseudo-Christian. Otherwise, identifying oneself with a religion is an act based on a tenet of faith and thus a "religious" act.

Oh, well, uh, thanks for that. Carry on...

Do you have some concrete evidence of this? At least in the CHRC it basically operates this way: Also, Less than 20% of claims go to Tribunal.
