Real Reason America Went To War
Montgomery Burns replied to KalosSkilo's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Newbie: 9/11 Democrat Chairman Lee Hamilton Slams Media Distortions Lee Hamilton: There are all kinds of ties. There are all kinds of connections. And it may very well have been that Osama bin Laden or some of his lieutenants met at some time with Saddam Hussein lieutenants. Plus, 9/11 Commission members John Lehman blasted the NY Times for reportin there was no links between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Bill Clinton worried about Al Qaeda getting weapons from Iraq There was a link between Saddam and Al Qaeda Lee Hamilton: "The vice president is saying, I think, that there were connections between Al Qaeda and the Saddam Hussein government. We don't disagree with that" And then there is Stephen Hayes' book documenting the links between Al Qaeda and Saddam. And then there is this: Saddam and Al Qaeda links I don't understand why you persistently argue this point? Don't you know about all the Al Qaeda terrorists that Saddam housed in Iraq? I too could post more but I am off for the night. -
Simply, Democrats Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin were horribly negligent. That is why the American public does not trust them to defend its citizenry. Compare Jeb Bush's response to Florida's 4 hurricanes last year - versus Blanco. Compare (ex)Mayor Rudy Giuliani's response to 9/11 - versus Nagin. Remember last year when John Kerry said he would respond forcefully after America was attacked? Remember when he said that US military action would have to pass the global test? IOW, the US public would have to ask France's permission to defend the homeland. The Democrats are weak and incompetent when it comes to defending its citizens. I'm not being partisan; this is a fact and the public knows it. The Democrats lack of response to the Katrina tragedy will hurt them badly in the mid-term 2006 elections. Perhaps even bad enough that they will lose enough power to prevent their constant divisive filibustering antics.

Bush: The Disaster President
Montgomery Burns replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, if the far-left Toronto Star (the home of the anti-semitic Eric Margolis who hasn't been on Fox News for months after being humiliated time and time again, the radical Linda McQuaig, and the radical Jew-hating Antonia Zerbisias) says so, then it must be true! -
Why Has Greg Abdicated His Responsibilities
Montgomery Burns replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Newbie, why are you so mean-spirited most of the time? -
Sir Chauncy: What a racist statement. Like Omar from IraqTheModel said, people like you think of the Iraqi people as subhuman second-class people who deserve nothing better than to live under a massmurdering dictator. Shame on you. Me thinks that Sir Chauncy hs been spending too much time at the Democratic Underground. Come on, top it off to a million. You know you want to. Were you sleeping when 60% of the population risked life andlimb to vote in January? Remember those purple-stained fingers? Were you sleeping when the Iraqis constructed a constitution? I figured you would out yourself. It's those Zionist Neocon Joooos!!! Some people just hate the thought of those subhuman second-class Iraqis being free of a massmurdering dictator. Those Iraqis are morons. They had no idea who they were voting for. They probably voted for Joooos. Nope. The Iraqis did not vote for who the US favored. Canada was more interested in taking Saddam's blood money than enforcing the broken ceasefire and the 17 broken Chapter VII (binding) UN resolutions. SOMEONE has to pay for all of Canada's vast social programs! Huh? Peacekeeping is admirable, but holding hands with Islamofascists and singing Kumbaya is utterly naive. But when your Liberal Party govt has gutted the military, I guess one has little choice. We're a nation of thieves that takes Saddam's blood money instead of enforcing broken ceasefires and 17 Chapter VII (binding) UN resolutions.

You sure love those made-up terms, hey? "LLL", "neocoms", etc etc. But to the point: the very idea that the U.S. is interested in building a democracy in the Mid East is b.s. I doubt democratic reform in Saudi Arabia would require military force, the destruction of the country and the deaths of tens of thousands. Mor elike a phone call here, a few cheques withheld there... You're drooling, I can tell. Actually the number is 600,000 civilian executions, plus around 500,000 in the Iran-Iraq war. The vast majority of these occurred during a period when Saddam was a client of the U.S., particularly during the reign of Saint Ronnie. I know you love patting yourself on the...back, but there's only so many times one can read the same NewsMax bullshit before realizing the futility of dicussing it. The simple fact is the Bush adminsitration has shied away from making any strong claims as to an Iraq-Al Qaeda conection. They've flatly denied any link with Iraq and 9-11 and, at best, have painted a rough sketch that puts Al Qaeda members in Iraq, but have offered no dpcumentary evidence of a collaborative relationship. If such a relationship could be proven, then there's no doubt the Bushies would seize on it. The simple fact that the one group that would benefit the most from publicly pushing your ramblings has, for the past three years, declined to touch it with a ten-foot pole, leads to the conclusion that the "evidence" you've presented is nothing more than a paranoid conspiracy theory advanced by the Cult of George. Oh and the quote function is super-easy to master. Burn'd again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1) LLL and neocoms are not "made up" terms. And yes, trying to create a democracy in the Mid East cesspool is "BS". Let's hear it. come on, you can do it. NO BLOOD FOR OOOIIIILLLLLLLL! 2) I have no idea what you are babbling about. Hint: try to get to the point and be concise. 3) Ahhh. Healthcare and post-seconday education are free. Wherever would we be without Black Dog's infinte wisdom? Da govt pays for it; it's free. 4) No, the number is 1.5 million without the people killed in the Iran war, whence Saddam was getting nuclear reactors built by France. 5) YOU were the one who made the incredulous claim that there were no links between Saddam and Al Qaeda. But if you want to make a fool out of yorself by quoting the far-left NY Times, I'm not going to stop you. 6) And spelling is easy to master.

An informed person would know about the Authorization to use Force against Iraq resolution that was passed by both Republicans and Democrats. But many Canadians were more concerened about their Prime Minister taking Saddam's blood money instead of enforcing the broken ceasefire and the 17 broken Chapter VII (binding) UN resolutions. Canada's Liberal Party: moral to the bone.

And if they did, the left would be screaming bloody murder - just like they did with Iraq. They have a deal with Saudi Arabia to keep democracy out.... I think you'd have a long way to go to find a more gullible nitwit than you.... Now you're drowning in the Kool-Aid. The US has repeatedly said that Al Qaeda and Iraq were linked. There is absolutely no doubt. This is an undisputed irrefutable fact. Is the proof just hidden with the invisible weapons of mass destruction ??? Are you on drugs ?? And how many did the USA kill.... They've got the record... they fried 140,000 Japs in just a few milliseconds. But more specifically, in Iraq, they USA killed over 500,000 babies between the first and second wars... by not allowing anyone to bring in water purification equipment..... The USA has killed how many tens of thousands of Iraqis in their quest for oil...But I suppose you think that's ok.How about the 100,000 American citizens who Bush lets die every single year by not providing health care... At least Saddam did that much... How about the USA's assistance in gassing the Kurds.... The Democrats tried to block the sale of the helecopters Saddam was going to use to kill the Kurds, but the Republicans blocked the bill, (Prevention of genocide act). So the USA helped kill those people... how are they morally superior in this case... because they didn't actually fly the choppers ???? Are these the same Islamopussies who took out the World Trade Centres ??? Canadian style ?? I think you are a bit confused. Maybe you should go lie down.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1) And your proof is where? Oh right. You just made it up. 2) You flamed me. Cartman and Mirror are going to go running to the moderator and tattle on you. I know they will. *crickets chirping* 3) You are the one that made the ludicrous claim that Al Qaeda and Saddam had no links. How can you be so blindly ignorant of this? 4) No, but I suspect you are. And I suspect you drink the Kool-Aid to quench your dry mouth. 5) Change the subject and attack the USA. Typical self-loathing liberal. They always take the side of the enemies of mankind. And the US didn't kill those babies; Saddam did. Saddam murdered over 500,000 children by refusing them food and medical aid; backed up with 75 footnotes I don't know how you can look at yourself in the mirror sticking up for that massmurdering dictator. Shame shame shame on you. And your claim that 100,000 US citizens die every year from no healthcare is utter BULLSHIT. What kind of a sicko types this? I'd use this as another example of the ugly hate-filled left, but Cartman will be over me if I do so. As for your claim of the Democrats trying to stop the sale of helicopters, but the Republicans blocked them....The Democrats controlled Congress back then I.E., the Democrats allowed the sale to go through Congress, because they controlled Congress. Look, everybody makes errors sometimes, but you are way out of your league on a political forum. You have to be one of the most utterly uninformed persons I have ever come across on the internet. 6) Yes. The same ones who murdered 3000 innocents instead of being men and taking on the US military.

The Telegraph is a great alternative to the UK's far-left BBC, Guardian, and Independent. Mark Steyn is a great witty intelligent pundit. He makes me proud to be Canadian.

Real Reason America Went To War

Uh, Dubya's own 911 commission report found no credible evidence of collaboration. But you're free to believe what you want to believe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bull. The non-partisan 9/11 commission -which you deride as "Dubya's own commission" - said that they were obviously linked. Again, this is an undisputed fact. Pay attention, newbie. -

Halliburton has made a measly 1.5 to 3.7% net profit in Iraq. Even Wal-Mart has better margins with their tiny 3.6% net profit. For most businesses, 6% is a decent average net profit. Another liberal myth busted. Halliburton: Profitless Profiteering -

Why Has Greg Abdicated His Responsibilities
Montgomery Burns replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Cartman, you were offended by me posting a thread about the ugly hate-filled reaction by the left towards Bush in the wake of the Katrina tragedy. That is why I titled it Bush Derangement Syndrome. You were offended by my use of words like Soviet, Communist left, and socialist. Yet you were not offended by a poster on this forum who used the very offensive word Ni**er. Indeed, you admitted that the thought crossed your mind that Bush's actions were due to racism. How do you explain Colin Powell and Condi Rice being appointed - by Bush - to Secretary of State - a very high position in the US govt? I can assure you I am no Bush lackey. The fact is that there is no reason to blame him for this tragedy. There are many things I disagree with Bush on. Don't get me started on his crap response to the Mexican border (the Democrats could hammer him on that but they are worried about alienating Hispanics, which still vote more Democrat than Republican). I disagree with his spending like a drunken Ted Kennedy ($28 million to the arts community?!), his kid glove treatment of those blood-thirsty murderers at Gitmo (serving them Duck a la Orange), and his refusal to bomb the hell out of Syria (where many of the terrorists are coming into Iraq from), keeping that politically correct Norm Mineta as Secretary of Transportation, etc. But of course, no one is perfect. I would only be content if I was in charge. Be that as it may, I do believe that history will treat Bush kindly and he will go down as a great President. The left hates him with a burning passion, but they also hated Reagan just as bad back in the 80s. Now Reagan is considered one of the greatest Presidents ever. He helped (with Maggie Thatcher and the Pope) to collapse the USSR and 110 million people were liberated from the Evil Empire. Bush has liberated 2 countries (50 million people) that were previously under brutal dictatorships, and both have had free elections. Plus I admire Bush's steely determination to do what he thinks is best. He doesn't "follow" whatever the latest polls say, like the wishy-washy Clinton did. Plus, you've got to love a President who cuts taxes. I will never forget seeing him on TV - in response to a typical hostile question from the liberal press - saying, "Doggone it. It's the people's money and they should have it back." How I wish Canada had a leader with that attitude towards OUR money. I'm not saying that Bush is another Reagan, but I do believe he will be treated kindly by history. -
Time to impeach? Power Corporation Inc is the largest shareholder in France's TotalFinaElf oil company, a company that was in bed with Saddam. And there's more from the Wall Street Journal: Life-long Liberal-appointed state employee, Louise Frechette, mentioned in $100 billion Oil for Food scandal Yes, Paul Volcker's report makes clear that the real figure was in excess of $100 billion. Maurice Strong took $1 million tainted personal cheque, inquiry finds What a thoroughly corrupt govt. Sometimes I am embarrassed to be Canadian, when I see polls (even though polls aren't always accurate) showing the country still supports the Liberal Party more than any other party.

From the FAQ posted at redcross.org Proof from the horse's mouth that Fox News, World Net Daily, and Hugh Hewitt were correct. Governor Blanco, your legacy is calling you. -
The actions and inactions of Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin are a national disgrace It's Bush's fault!!!! Lying former state legislator who represented the legislative district most impacted by the eruption of Mount St. Helens (I smell a neocon)!!!! It is Bush's job to micromanage every single city, town, and village in the USA!!!! That is the very definition of a federal govt's duty!!!! IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!!!! Bush let the air out of the tires of those buses and that prevented Blanco and Nagin from utilizing them!!!! Governor Bush was to blame!!!!! Bob Williams is obviously not from the reality-based community. More lies from the ultra rightwing thoroughly uncredible Wall Street Journal!!!! Reichwing hatemonger!!!!! I HATE YOU!!!!! If you will excuse me, I need to go fill up my jug with some more Kool-Aid. AIIIIEEEEEE!!!

Argus: Bush Derangement Syndrome is still running amok on this forum. The fact is FEMA head Mike Brown was overwhelmingly confirmed by the Senate when it was controlled by the Democrats.
