  1. Well ,only history will prove I'm right, but had enough nations got on board with the coalition forces from day 1,a lot fewer casualties would have occured. If you give a thief an inch,he'll take a mile.If you don't contain terrorists or tyrants, their area of attacks will be very far reaching. Everybody is blaming the Americans for war casualties,I still blame countries like ours for their lack of support, and that did not mean being on the front lines necessarily, which lead the terrorists to think they have major support from our country, which in the future will be to our detriment, because they know we are not firm against their sort of agression.Dalliaance at the beginning of WW2 cost many lives, aaaaaand that sir is a documented fact.
  2. It might be you ceaser who is unable to comprehend things, you keep voting a party that that leads you down the wrong path, but makes you think you are on the high and mighty pathway. As far as your compassion is concerned, what is your answer to better funding to healthcare, instead of say, bilingualism, lawyers to defend the Charter, bribe money to Quebec,etc.etc.Would not a government that is compasionate not cut healthcare to provinces by 25 billion, and then take credit for fighting the deficit.
  3. Canadians did not make the decision,Chretien did.The problem with that,he was in a majority gov.,but with only 60%off Canadians voting in his last election, only 36% of those voted to put him there. That is hardly a case to say that he spoke for all Canadians,as he did not even speak on the same level as his Minister of Defence,or did you forget that.
  4. It is also as Brian says,a front of armour to wave around for individuals or groups when they can't get their own way.It has nothing to do with protecting law abiding citizens, who we all know face greater injustices than the person who would use the charter as a means of self purpose.Thank you for letting me clear that up for you.
  5. The republicans were busy when negative comments by liberals such as Chretien,Parish,Dalhiwal, etc. were hurled their way. Will John Kerry be as easy going if we are unlucky enough to have him leader of our closest neighbour? Will he take those negative comments about his nation and people from the Canadian government, thus the Canadian people,as political speak,or as our real sentiment? Thanks to the liberals, border trade and crossing might become something of a chore, not something we can take for granted.
  6. Charter of Rights The most abused legal loophole in any democratic society. Remember folks,if you don't stand for something, the charter is your easy way out.
  7. Alliance,I'm surprised that nobody has responded to your last post.
  8. Almost right. The phrase should say,not entirely the government in a few cases.
  9. The liberals have been leaning left since the pearson win,and have set their governing to the left at full throttle since 1968.What are we left with?Government scandals daily, monetarily and morally.A steady decline in voter turnout.A member of the liberal party having to buy flags,at taxpayer's expense,to hand out, nobody left proud enough to buy their own flag,I guess. And there are still people who say the liberals are the right choice for Canada.Like the liberal numbers, something does not justify their latest win.The fact that it was a minority win is encouraging. Canadians are lazy when it comes to voting in their keepers of their treasury and social issues.Hopefully,a minority liberal win means more people are taking the time to see the negative direction the liberals have lead us.
  10. LOL.Do you remember history at all?I am beginning to think all liberals are illiterate and just get their facts from the CBC national news. Think about what you just said.Harper is not one of Brian's biggest fans.
  11. Many people have lost faith in the political system, mainly because of the liberals disrespect and mismanagament of their tax dollars. This leads to a growing number of Canadians moving, mostly in the health care field, and a larger percentage of Canadians opting for deals in which taxes are not collected ,and therefore less revenue for the government to have for basic necessities. As long as the liberals are in power, this view of the political environment will only be enhanced. So in essence, every time they raise taxes, they collect less, and the downward spiral of our wealth and trust in politicians continues.
  12. Actually, they will be out in 3 months, the remaining time left of their sentence.
  13. So,less security and more trust in people under suspicion is the way to go,is that what you are saying?
  14. Ho Hum,another liberal scandal, something else that will have a very short lived appearance in the liberal dominated media.
  15. There are some women politicians I can really throw my support behind.Belinda S.,Diane A.,to name a few. Two who I can't even listen to without becoming ,lets say extremely annoyed are ex liberal Shiela, and Anne M., they are both very abrasive and speak the party line, which doesn't show any of their intelligence,if for sure they have any.
  16. In any event, the GST was created to clear up Trudeaumania expenses, deal with the recession, and bring our national debt down.If the liberals are such great caretakers of our money, why are we still paying a tax which they vowed to abolish in their 1993 election campaign. And they still cut 25 BILLION to healthcare besides that. Are we in trouble or what?
  17. Mulroney's name wasn't on my ballot, was it on yours?
  18. You are very correct, mostly to healthcare though, which negatively affects most of us.On the other hand,we have an enormous wealth of funds for bilingualism, adscam, gay pride days, money for hostile nations, etc.I really like the way those liberals can prioritize and buy votes at the same time.
  19. No ,I am sorry, you are very wrong.A free vote,to clear the issue,by all mp's,not just the Conservatives, would be the best way to handle this. The obstacle, liberals have to vote the party line, whether or not their constituents agree with it.Which is more democratic,a free vote,or an orchestrated liberal party vote?I will still vote for a party that allows the voice of their constituents to be heard, and in the liberal party this is not an option.
  20. And don't forget to thank all the prisoners who voted to help make your Canada Day a special one.
  21. Yes,I am sick.Sick of liberal views by people like you. You could care less about those who fell victim to the terrorists,by the way, another captive was beheaded today. In my view, all of these killings could have been prevented by a show of strenght against the perpetrators, but in typical fashion, the left refuses to see this, and the killings will go on. Don't call me sick, you negator of responsibility.
  22. Such a shame though,we almost had a chance of responsible gov. for a [nice] change.
  23. If all city neighbourhoods and communities so willingly support them as a good thing, then each one should be able to pay for it on their own means. If the taxpayer has to fund it,you can be sure the majority of people do not think it is a positive influence on their neighbourhood or community. Why don't you fight for money to fund hospitals,is that not a more worthwhile use of taxpayer dollars? My local liberal mp said it was #1 priority for his bid to get elected. Did he lie,or what?
  24. Excuse me,but until Quebec leaves, it is still part of Canada, and the Anglais are not an ethnic minority, you sob. Who the hell do you you think helped build Quebec, contrary to your warped views about history,it was a compilation of Canadians ,not just Quebecois who hold the rest of English Canada in contempt. Does any other minority in Canada have language police checking their store front signs,go visit Toronto or Ottawa. Your comment about the English being an ethnic minority, shows that your one time leader Parizeau had it correct in what he said about the ethnic vote, which showed him as a bigot and racist, and obviously the Quebecers who support that party are as much in the same fold judging by your comments.
  25. The problem with a liberal or leftist point of view. If,you allow an increasing tolerance of all things, they become commonplace, and can never be repealed . Some of your tolerant views are not good for people, so rather than saying yes all the time to some of your more radical changes to society, think about the outcome. Liberal governing has created far more societal problems than it has on improving the welfare of the Canadian people.I think the point most conservatives will agree on,is that you are entitled to express your views,ie the gay parades which adorn the Main street of most larger cities, but don't exxpect the Canadian taxpayer to fund it. Hospitals ,all the time have to fight for funding, even after many hours of volunteer hours being logged. Using the gay parade as an example, volunteers from the gay community should look for donations, and if none are forthcoming, then maybe the Canadian populace is not in favour of them as much as we told by government,in order that they will be allowed to fund it,and thus shore up the gay vote one issue only.Does not sound democratic to me.
