I watched a video on youtube where Harper addressed the Australian government and praised them that their Senate is elected. I know he's been frustrated with the Senate and maybe attempting to change their role.

Here's a thought, maybe the distinct season change gives people more impact of the necessity of getting things done. If crops arn't harvested by fall, they'll be useless and people would starve. Like the premise of some people buying that reverse clock that determines how much time you have to live, motivating that person to accomplish more. However; Toro's right, I hate working outside in 30+ weather, and i'd never be able to work on the Equator.

An analyst that i saw on bnn stated that Canada is about a year behind the us economically. In a normal situation, I pretty much agree with him. I'm guessing 2-3 months after the bailout/imaginary stimulus/population tax, the US economy will tank again, then I'm guessing Canada will get hit a lot quicker. Then again, I got hit too, so wtf do i know.

A few years ago i lived in Calgary. Downtown there was a bar called "the drink". Before you could enter the club, the staff would scan your drivers licence. I thought it was odd, but didn't think much of it. I later found out that the bar directly sent that information to the local police. My girlfriend at the time said this was a topic of interest at her law school, privacy laws and such. I'm curious, does anyone know if the bar still exists and do they still do this? I mention this because my Asian friend thought the door staff was hassling him. I told him it was all in his mind, then later some Asian guys were whipping beer bottles at each other. Who knows.

mine would have to be Willie Nelson's bio-diesel plane. It may be a pos for all i know, but it's ecologically more friendly and the smoking section would make the flight a lot quicker:)

I'm more ticked about the demise of Frank. I thought that i just couldn't find it. Would have been great if someone took it over, at least online. I used to like the Post, then i met Black and Drabinski, never read it again after that.
