  1. Duceppe said his party's demands are simple: economic stimulus, aid for the manufacturing and forestry sectors and improved employment insurance.
  2. They also hold value to the Arts wich the tories made cutts to at election time , they also hold interest in keeping manufaturing jobs wich all three party's would be in favor of protecting. Fact of the matter is all 3 party's are willing to work together and the tories are unwilling to work with anyone. Even politicians need to realize you need to work together and build friendship then make enemy's. Harper does not understand that and will fall for his lack of people skills.
  3. A taste of his own medicine I love it! What comes around goes around lol
  4. To me it seems like a form of proportional representation wich I feel has been long time coming, majority of citizens disagree with torie platforms so to me this has been a god send for the people of this country
  5. That is so far from the truth when a person goes to take a loan the bank does not use the money you deposit but goes to the Bank of Canada to print up more money, who then in turn gives it to the private bank to charge you interest on, in turn driving up inflation and devalue the dollar. go back to your previous post you said you took the money and put it in savings.
  6. If you pay more in GST than most people in income tax I am more than sure you can spare a few extra dollars can't you? also like you said in your previous post you did not spend you tax incetives on consumer goods but horded it away in saving, not good for the country nor any good for the economy. your now starting to contradict yourself
  7. How can you say your overtaxed when our country is in debt we spent $35billion in interest payment alone, quit being a deadbeat and pay your debts.
  8. Reason this mess was created was giving credit to people who are most like to default. it was Harper who introduced the 40 year mortgage, he is very much to blame.
  9. maybe on technicality but he did blow our $10billion dollar surplus in exchange for a $100million surplus to me that is going into the red if you know what I mean. What is Steve going to do when he has no more surplus cash to spend he will drive a deficit. By no means am I a Liberal fan but atleast they were fiscally conservative. The 1% GST cutt made no difference to me or most people same goes with the tax rebates made no diference to most people. I also have no problem paying taxes its a fact of life and are needed to run a country, no problem in doing my part.
  10. boils down to if Steve is a man of his word he made a election promise to not run a deficit thats the difference.
  11. All they need to do is make promise to increase funding to the arts and this coalition will happen, Harpers cutts to Quebec will destroy his dynasty
  12. Does anyone else not see the irony? Harper has now backed away from slashing public funding when he sees he just might be on the other side of the fence and need that money should another election come about. This reeks of self interest for his party.
  13. Harper said the next opposition day will be set for Dec. 8, giving his government a week’s breathing space.
  14. Prime Minister Stephen Harper, faced with threats from the opposition parties to defeat his government on Monday, has announced that all confidence motions will be postponed for a week.
