  1. thankfully I am not one of them but many people have or are suffering in Alberta when rent doubled house prices trippled, we cut healthcare and many social programs. Talk to the average folk and most have suffered threw the boom. Also, Alberta for the first time since klien has went into the red and ran up a debt of $300million if you think that is good I hate to see the bad
  2. I remember the 80's we required lots of help. Your not fooling anyone son.
  3. Harper does lack the experience.....
  4. He can back peddle all he likes but once you declair war takes one side to concede defeat
  5. BlackWater-Lobby Canada Torie Government for Secret Funding? http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=4LV4-VTalRY OTTAWA -- The Canadian Forces are using a controversial private security firm to train some of its troops sent to Afghanistan. http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.htm...1d-c033e5d6d168
  6. CANAMEX was one of the first north-south corridors designated as a High Priority Corridor under the National Highway Systems Designation Act. Actively pursued by Alberta since the early 1990's, the CANAMEX Trade Corridor links Canada, the United States and Mexico and stretches 6,000 km from Alaska to Mexico, truly a pan-American corridor. http://www.transportation.alberta.ca/710.htm The Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor is a system of transportation infrastructure, including British Columbia Lower Mainland and Prince Rupert ports, road and rail connections that reach across Western Canada and into the economic heartlands of North America, as well as major airports and border crossings. The Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative is an integrated set of investment and policy measures focused on trade with the Asia-Pacific Region. Its mission is to establish Canada’s Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor as the best transportation network facilitating global supply chains between North America and Asia. http://www.tc.gc.ca/CanadasGateways/APGCI/index.html
  7. Don't forget about Mexico they are in this deal also
  8. I would like to see Obama in action first before I make that decision. If your really interested in this you can find on government sites info on it. In alberta we already completed the CANAMEX highway wich is part of the Nafta super highway and by 2020 we will have the pacific coridor done where they will allow mobilized workers and goods to move free flow threw Canada, cheap labour is to build the oilsands. Port Alberta will be a HUB at the international Airport for both coridors. They also developed the SuperNet wich will allow them to remove boarders they are done testing and are building the infastructure as we speak. It would be also interesting to research the SPP as this has been the groundwork for the NAU
  9. My main concern is: take the Iraq war for example would you have wanted to be forced into that war? we would have as a NAU. I also have concerns about private millitary like Blackwater even though harper signed a bill to allow blackwater to move into Canadian teritory shoot and kill anyone they choose as they are not governed or held accountable under any laws. 3rd issue the American debt they say by 2040 they will not even be able to pay the interest on the debt they have, do you really want part of that?
  10. To cut funding during a recesion is what leads to depression
  11. what is happening in India is the medium who has turned extremist to fight washington policy, thats why they target the finacial district. They are mad about the Ira war, Blackwater, Bush, cheney. The money for terorism came from washington and that is what they are fighting.
  12. she's not going to call another election so soon when Harper waisted $300million of taxpayers money already. What she will do is allow the coalition to run the country till the Liberals apoint a new leader, then a election will be called.
  13. Although I suport no party I would not mind throwing some money towards the Libs just to show my disaproval of Harper
  14. time for Harper to open up his purse and bribe those like he did Cadman
  15. poor Harper has no friends I feel so sad for him
  16. Lobbyists must be fired up they now have to bribe all party's lol and those who invested in Harper will lose confidence . I bet tory's don't rake in the same contributions next election.
  17. I suspect that will not be the only changes he will make, give it 5 more days I bet he miraculously puts together a whole new economic budget too. These bone heads don't know what they are doing day to day let alone plan the future of this country.
  18. Actually suprised to know the NDP and Obama would work very well together both want to negotiate labor contracts and home grown jobs under NAFTA.
  19. Canadians vote for a local candidate, not the PM (unless the current PM is their preferred candidate in their riding) and not a political party. The "will of the Canadian voters" was 2 to 1 against the Conservative candidates. A coalition that forms a majority would better represent how Canadians voted than this belligerent and dishonest Tory minority menace.
  20. Agreed. I also feel it will strengthen relations with the U.S again as the tories tried to sabatage Obama's campain, We need a leader that play's well with others and who can build friendship Harpers bum buddy Bush will soon be gone what the Torries done was destroy our relations this mad man needs to be stopped. he 's picked a fight with foriegn leader and within our own government how STUPID must one be.
  21. I urge those in support to join the petition for the progressive coalition http://www.progressivecoalition.ca/
  22. It would be rather *funny* if another $300 million election was required after the government was toppled over nothing more than a $30 million dollar power play Perhaps you’d accept the concept of coalition government if Harper had pursued it when the majority of the electorate refused him and his Conservative party… Harper could have his governing majority today – under a coalition banner. He chose not to explore this cooperative, for the good of the people/country, alternative… rather, Harper is so bent on realizing that selective majority position, he is willing to forego any attempt at cooperative government… it’s why we had the recent trumped up election – it’s why the Throne Speech was so blatantly lacking, and it’s why we’re bordering on the next immediate election path. should a coalition come forward… it will be one forged around the economy… you know – the economy, the thing the Harper Conservatives should be concentrating on instead of their callous self-serving positions.
  23. sure it will if you create jobs workers can afford homes in turn they purchase lumber to build those homes and furnish homes with wood products. Same as auto workers give them jobs they can afford to go buy neew vehicles. If we don't we will be suseptabel like the states and instead people will forclose and not have money for consumer spending. I don't see how you don't understand that.
