Obama, Harper, and Afghanistan
craiger replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So true . and my generation does have a opinion it is the Environment and future technology's but we also know it will take something drastic! these old baby boomers still hold the vote for Canada it will take Harper to run a deficit showing the tories do not hold a platform, this economic crisis and lies will be what will give us the opertunity for change. mark my word Canadians will look at harper the same as bush and changes will be made to parliment. we have already shown a very strong green movement, in time I have faith we will put the dinasours to rest they refuse to listen or care about us we have seen the cuttbacks, the increased to tuition no incetive for our generation. This economic greed has shown the greed in our elders and how they do not care for us, they even want to privtize our health. mark my word next election will be about change -

No . we need to enspire younger generations to vote not these pot head 60's radicules. our younger generations are allot more educated than the bed shitter. -
you also fail to recognize the costs we commited to reclaiming the land. wich has been to said to be imposible with our current funds, we dug a hole we cannot afford. The future bread and butter is in green technology something we have not done

I promise you every budget for the whole length of his term runs DEFECIT. If he is lucky he can cook the books this single one, most unlike though

Obama, Harper, and Afghanistan

Harper was all for invading Iraq. I so wish he was PM at the time we could have encountered the same revolution as the USA. a time for change. -
I disagree.. I strongly feel he seen a future deficit. It would have destroyed his whole party's platform based on fiscal managment. He played it smart he acused all party's of running a deficit when he directly did the same a week lat

They also got bombed to shit. the Kuwaities got nothing in that deal still nobody can explain what ever happened to the largest gold reserves in the world they had prior to war

Discriminatory practice in Alberta

I was hoping you could show me something to research. COA made it clear to me they develped from the DOT procedures and guidlines. I don't know who you. I will stand by the defense we are all trolls that pretend to be who we are not, I have nothing to prove to you MR. Expert give me names of who developed your policy so I can research and if liable I can go after them thank you -
good you agree with me when the price of oil drops refinery's make money when the price of crude rises crude makes money. Reason why Alberta at most is suseptable to the boom and bust cycle. we have nothing to balance the economy. we also cannot compair to cuba as we are free trade with out the restriction in the flow of a final product you could see our economy double,
-
We pay the same except for country's that are Nationalized Nationalized country's pay the least in fuel last I heard cuba was paying .20 cents a gallon USA pays lower gas prices than Canada due to taxes China can produce gasoliine cheaper than Canada can do to cheap labour Europe pays high gas prices on purpose to fund energy eficient infastructure (tax) show me some facts before we debate anything. As I have based everything on facts and you don't thank you you also fail to understand the barrel is purchased in american dollars this is vital to why some country's pay more. I rest my case

good to know.I would like to get to the bottom of this and find the individuals who will profit
-
Really eh i did not know that. how come the two teir system to hydro? My understanding we are building large lines to the US open market in Alberta, or is this just a province thing?
-
I disagree.. I strongly feel he seen a future deficit. It would have destroyed his whole party's platform based on fiscal managment. He played it smart he acused all party's of running a deficit when he directly did the same a week later.
-
your false we all pay the same on the open market diference is in taxes and labour costs.

Now try translating a 4" think book of codes and procedures called ASME then another 4" think book called the CSA and drill it into some heads who were required to know this stuff in the first place. Then feel my fustration running a crew where you have hours to complete projects.

yes I would, as I see it a profitable investment. Edmonton alone wants to spend $3 billion on a worlds fair that will lose half a billion dollars so they can try and suck more money frome the feds and province. Building a refinery in Ontario is smart also as they hold a great number of the population same with quebec I would rather see job creation in Canada and something canadians will own with their tax dollars. I am not fooling, they are planning to send our top soil to Asia and create jobs their with our tax dollars.
-
I cannot say Petro Can provided cheaper gas, could have done so, but nobody knows. What it did was create jobs in the 80's when we had nothing, a investment in our future. Wich in turn put the oilsands on the map when the private sector had no faith in us. we made out good because we invested and believed in ourselves.
-
Today is a day we should take our heads out of our ars and think about today dwelling on the past only makes things worse. I would like to hear new ideas and new opinion with direction to the future outside a tiny box, we can ramble in circles for years to come and accomplish nothing.
-
your lucky at least people reply to your post I submit facts and figures and nobody responds as people don't know how to deal with the truth. you side spun a good thread into some stupid wheat board post.
-
We did it before with petro canada canadian taxpayers foot the bill and we made tons of money's. When the lefty sees we create thousands of jobs and we can provide cheaper energy I don't see how they can complain. I would start building refinery's around winnepeg a central distribution point where labour is cheaper and where the east needs jobs. Feds already promised billions to the private sector I feel Canadians would feel more proud building and owning something that is theirs. what angers lefties is the idea of handouts in the billions to the private sector, who in turn sell out fellow Canadians for cheaper labour and something they will never own yet they pay for it.

I would think a simple solution would to refine bitumen in canada and sell to Canadians and business cheaper. Reason so many business suffer in canada is high energy costs if we could cutt that our industry's would be more competative on the global market. I think a nationalized oil company would be a great answer to our problems makes no sense sending high paying jobs shiping top soil out of the country to buy back. Besides Americans made it clear cancelling refinery expansion in Chicago they don't want our dirty oil we would be better off selling the final product gasoline and deisel that is where the money is and creates jobs constructiing refinery's

I am going to listen to Syncrude on this one. They have said "20 years left" using current technology's it is still to hard or costly to extract the remaining 60 years worth. besides the way we have been ramping up production those figures are way out dated.

Discriminatory practice in Alberta
craiger replied to craiger's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
A Department of Environmental Protection employee who was fired for suffering from paruresis, or "shy bladder syndrome," won $225,000 in damages The court awarded Mr. Kinneary $100,000 in back pay and $125,000 for emotional harm. Since losing his job in 2002, Mr. Kinneary has taught biology at SUNY-Farmingdale and a private high school on Long Island, making about $40,000, which is $30,000 less than what he earned as a DEP Captain. -
you willing to sell our friendship with the US for the Asians? I heard that from 2 out of 3 Encana investors they think we can strip top soil and ship it. I was forced to remind we are not comunist. those bombings in BC are a start are you prep to go to war!

Can not blame Obama .Mcain feels the same way. All we can do is blame ourselves. we made recomendation 10 years ago for Carbon capture and that would have helped us but we did jack squat! We actually figured we would could allow the rape and pillage of these lands. As we stand we cannot even make good on our commitment to reclaim the land. I can no longer sugar coat it we are in trouble.
