  4. hey don't forget to crush the greens while your at it would you, you know that pathetic party looking to save the evironment.
  5. In all do respect I am looking for a ban. seems a sense a humor is not welcome in these parts, its just not in me to be bland boring all the time so hey mind as well be a asshole.
  6. Harper would just tell you to "suck it" if you didn't you would be out of a job. The king has spoken now get on your knees!
  7. born and bread .....don't forget who's paying your wealfare cheque!
  8. Does not mater Libs are playing the sweetest game of all good cop bad cop. you got Rae or you got Ignatieff its a sure fire win. Both are willing to go 50/50 as either way they both hold prime position in government.
  9. since I am Albertan I don't think you could say that. I say it as it is the west had its chance at leadership and failed the thought of power went way above their heads. Do I disagree with it I will stay partial. Did they deserve it? yes they did west has proven they have no play in politics.
  10. Liberals played this so smart in a transition of leaders they have undermined Harper the lead bull and those that suport him. next in line are meant to be peace keepers (Liberals) who have expressed no willing to a coalition Dion can take the fall and since he is gone it don't matter. Both the NDP and Cons will take the ridicule when dion is gone and the New Lib leader will look like a saint! Now that they have secured Quebec and any NDP voters they got things in the bag. Harpers early vote could have not been more than a blessing for the libs and when they take a majority they can make attack on the tory's we all know this war ain't over Liberals have leadership experience where the Cons fail. Just wait Tory's will be eating from the palm of Lib hands like it or not.
  11. Well you have been quet frank in the oilfield workers who get paid way to much, who have benifits like your crops it is a natural resource. same goes with your industry, its albertan's. So how can you sit on your high horse and condemn us who make a honest living, when i am sure you live well within your means also. If you wish me the worste I wish you the worste also, as we all know cheap labour and the corperate elite can do it a hell of allot cheaper than we can. Some day you will take that offer on your land! and no generation past you will prosper with it in the global market. You wish me bad i wish You bad or your kids also .buddy! dog eat dog right! no solidaridy!
  12. All i can think is why are we paying you sorry ars so much to plow those fields when we can have immigrants do it for way less cheap! Now that they are buying up all the farm land we should be undercutting you, should we not. I personally am sick and tired of farmers belly acking we dont get this, we don't get that! I need more subsidy and let me sell to the highest market. We should replace you guys you make way to much money you should eat bread crums like the rest.
  13. unless your a Golosky or how ever you spell the name I would not think of expanding, keep what you got we are in for some rough times and unless you got the that name your gonna get trampled. You seem like a new cummer to the bizz, it will be cutt throat time. like you said don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
  14. If you invest like me you would know OPEC is to cutt production and will give fair value at $75/barrel. So if your smart invest in those barrels not in corperations who have intention of expansion. Anhy smart investor will tell you it takes 7 years to plan and procede with projects so to be safe don't look to future prospects but the security in the barrel. AS for planning and engineering jobs consider the white collar toast. Tradesman are a hot commodity either way those jobs are secure in maintnance alone. only the white collar will hurt the other white collar and personally I say F them all! Albertans and those in maintnance have nothing to worry. On another note Syncrude has said " we have 40 years left of oil". So if we do not steward in deversifying consider the west toast!
  15. I'm pleased with today's news. I don't consider myself affiliated with any party, but I would say that Harper's approach to governing concerns me. there does seem to be a scheming style to Harper that really makes me question his sincerity over just about anything. I can't honestly say that much of the policy he has invoked while in office has particularly raised my ire, but the way in which he or his cabinet frames almost all issues as being partisan is terribly off-putting. Political junkie that I am neverminds the aggravation and carries on, but I guess the thing that has consistently struck me since the coalition agreement is the sentiment that many people are expressing that the public voted for the Conservatives to govern this country. No. People voted and the Conservatives have attained a "minority" government in each of the past two elections. This does not give them the right to not work with the other parties. Look, it should be absolutely clear... If any party wins a minority government mandate, the public has spoken. They have clearly stated that not any of the parties have enough support to govern Canada. Until there is a majority, the citizens of Canada will only be satisfied with consistent mediation/negotiation over ALL issues. I don't see a problem with that.
  16. this just in. Harper takes his ball and goes home. On the way out he commented: "They didn't want to play with me and I don't want to play with them. This is my ball and I am going home." In another news, countless canadians are applying to have their taxes prorogued until 2020. That is until the government fixes their eye sight and realizes that the economy is in dire straights and people need help.
  17. Edmonton Oilers 2008 Stanley Cup Champions. It has just been announced that the Edmonton Oilers are named the new 2008 Stanley Cup Champions. They have entered into a coalition with the Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks. Together they have decided that they had more wins last season than the Detroit Red Wings and have declared themselves the champs. Although they did not make the playoffs, they feel there is no need to have another playoff run as it is better for the league to just name Edmonton the champs. Shawn Horcoff has declared himself as the Hart Trophy winner saving the league time on having to go through with lengthy voting process. Detroit will have until Monday December 8, 2008 to remove its Stanley Cup banner from Joe Louis arena.
  18. I have nothing against the germans I am one myself. What Hitler tried to do was eradicate the Userers the scum who would horde the money and then charge people more than it is worth. Many great leaders in before Hitler did the same so did many christians like St. thomas aquinas as they seen the Userers as a pre engineered death to society. May I remind Jew's would not charge interst to other Jew's this sitll happens today.
  19. Swear to god and know what I am strong union, untill the piss test thing 3 years ago I did not contract for myself, but as my own contractor I don't piss and if the client requires it I pay my own 3rd party to pass me and all my employees I am willing to bet 90% of the best welders smoke pot and i really don't care. Don;'t get me wrong piss testing made me allot of coin I stole the best of what 488 had and they work for me now.
  20. I favor this for one fact it will make a 2 party system I don't see any Liberals or NDP or greens voting Torie any time soon. This is a good thing as no minortiy government should rule
  21. Never said I am not going with out work what I said at least under the Liberals I had a job. What is happening locals get laid off and temp immigrant stay on jobs because of the work visa. My opinion ship em home, the fact I can get another job in less than 2 hours is besides the point, point is why am I being laid off? As for the bad welder comment I challenge anyone to a skills test I have not had a repair in 10 years I weld pressure exotic metals not many can do, only a handfull of us and that is why I get paid the big bucks if I don't make over a million a year its a bad year. with my riggs I bet my company grossed more last year than any of you will in your lifetime. I challenge anyone, even get your friends or a immigrant lets do a Hastelloy competition, I am one of the best and I know it, do you know anyone else they will call and pay $40,000 for one joint in emergency besides me I think not!
  22. You obviously know nothing! take it from a man who works the oilsands and sees this every day, I was also at CNRL and seen the union job steward get fired when he brought up the unsafe work conditions, a week later 2 chinese workers were killed we tried to warn them but they don't care about human life when it comes to cheap labor. For the rrecord I head up to Syncrude monday again I think I know a bit more than you do their is more to the investments and facilility's beyond the refinery's or upgraders where do you think Imperial or Shell or any of them get the bitumen from they have vested interest in the mines.
  23. A group of 30 Polish welders who say they were brought to work in Canada under false pretenses are suing an energy services company, Lakeland College and three individuals for more than $5.5 million. The lawsuit, filed in Edmonton's Court of Queen's Bench on Monday, makes two main claims: • That the men believed they were being hired by Kihew Energy Services Ltd. to work in Alberta as full-time welders, not full-time students as their visas said. • And that once here, they received inadequate pay for their work, earning $10 to $12 an hour from Kihew while four companies contracted with Kihew paid up to $28 an hour for their services. Exxon Mobil manager will take over as chief executive of Syncrude Canada
  24. That just might be political suicide for the Tories if the other party's join together don't forget they got a minority government and with defecits comming his platform is toast. Personally i have never contributed to a party but i just might change my mind now if their not going to get government assistance. 2 party system would be a good thing for everyone you would be voting for or against, votes would not go wasted to party's who dont hold a chance.
