This "20% commission" issue just shows absence of any ethics in accusers (aptv, media and opposition). There is no such clause in Ms. McPherson contract. This is a pure smear campain.

Wow! Who did receive a completed RCMP report on the investigation? Ignatieff or you? Or you both ... stretching the facts?

Why do the Harper Conservatives dislike students?
YEGmann replied to Harry's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You mean students can't vote now?! However, this move closes at least one loophole, preventing students to vote twice in the same election. -
AG Draft Report: G8 Funding Lacked Transparency
YEGmann replied to guyser's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
On the other hand, it seems that the AG report confirms that at least 95% of budget for the summit(s) were properly spent. Which destoys long time opposition cries over "huge ovespendings on tthe event". Remember "a billion dollar for two-day meeting"? AG says now "Yes, the meeting must cost that much!" -

Ignatieff's Wife is Not Canadian Citizen
YEGmann replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There is no outrage. For anyone else, four years is enough to become a Canadian citizen. Every immigrant knows that. All you need is just to lift your ass and fill those damn forms. Ignatieff arrived to Canada to be a Prime Minister. This is not "anyone else" intention. Nevertheless, on her sixth year in Canada, his wife hasn't obtained Canadian citizernship. There is only one explanation. She did not want it strongly. She did not applied on time. And Mr. Ignatieff didn't care. By the way, when did Suzana (sorry I used transliteration) Zsohar apply for Canadian citizenship? Yes, it is not my damn business, but I do want to know a personality of my potential Prime Minister. Maybe it was just yesterday? It would say a lot. -

This has nothing to do to competence. This is about morality and class. Harper demonstrates he has those. Pro-liberal media sunk too deep in their manure, it is beyond their mental capabilities to understand such things. -
Ha-ha! You numbers are based on underestimated fly-away cost of the aircraft. In the fly-away configuration you cannot operate aircraft for long time. In reality US Navy pays much (50%) more. There are more than one contract. F/A-18 E/F approaches $90 mln a piece. Growler is more expensive. For 12 EF-18G in 2011 USN will cough up $1,095,106.000 (in thousands). This is $91.2 mln a piece. Specially for you: Prior 2010, procurement of 56 Growlers cost USN Navy $4,391,031.999 (in thousands). Now you say 58 Growlers plus 66 Super Hornets will cost US taxpayers only $5.3 billion?!

YEGmann replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Absolutely! It's not important, it's not unusual. It's just funny. Just a perception, which means a lot in politics. That damn Harper's attack ad was correct! Ignatieff is just visiting! -
The design of F-18E/F is almost 20-year old. Complete BS! Read this http://www.finance.hq.navy.mil/FMB/12pres/APN_BA1-4_BOOK.pdf F/A-18E/F Procurement cost 2011 Q-ty = 22 $1,828,354.000 (in thousands) = $83 mln a piece 2012 Q-ty = 28 $2,508,881.000 (in thousands) = $89.6 mln a piece Plus 30-year maintenance. The same order as F-35.

Did you watch the movie? There was the most expensive tender in the history of military aviation. There were two bidders. Lockheed-Martin-led group won. -

Did you read your own link? It says no veteran was barred from the rally. However I agree, it is Harper's problem. Pro-liberal hostile media. -

No you do not. You do not have any evidence the girl was removed because of the pictures. You even do not have evidence RCMP officer removed her. -

In your link - "Ms. Aslam told the London Free Press. He said … " All this horror story is presented from one source - the young girl. By the way, in the very first news about this incident, CBC wrote that the girl said something like "I do not know why they removed me. My only idea is I have a picture with Michael Ignatieff on the Facebook. Maybe because of that..." Later reports put the Facebook passage in the mouth of a mythical RCMP officer. -

Who is the author of this speculation? You? In the their today's statement the RCMP did not confirm they dealt with a girl named Awish Aslam. RCMP confirmed they removed some not registered intruders. Awish Aslam was a registered guest and had kind of a badge. Please, check your reality. -

The story is very strange. This "Facebook profiling", an "RCMP officer" seem like product of imagination of the girl. There was something, but the story is presented complitely from one side, and the side has a strange link to the Liberal party. Anyway, I do not believe the girl was apprehended because of her picture on the Facebook. I know that harperites love to kick pregnant women in belly, but this profiling is overstretch. -
No, you are wrong. BQ does not and did not have control over the HoC. Conservatives proved that since 2006. In the coalition agreement a role of BQ was prescribed. BQ was a crtitical part opf the 2008 coalition. Without the BQ formal participation, though without a minister position, the 2008 coalition was impossible.
-
This is not so clear. What we know BQ did not share 24 ministers portfolios. Expanding government over the 24 was allowed and anticipated by the coalition agreement. Duceppe formally signed the agreement. In any case Bloc would have enormous power, having full control over the coalition government. It was even more than veto power.

Has Layton sacrified the NDP chances in Alberta for Quebec?
YEGmann replied to Scotty's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Actually, the pristine conditions are not very good in the oil sand country. Oil naturally seeps into rivers. Extracting oil from the ground level cleans the environment in certain sense. This is not to argue that caution is required when developing the oil sands. -
Harper turns down one-on-one debate with Ignatieff
YEGmann replied to Shwa's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It was Harper's mistake. Everybody knew that outright. Why this happened is a big puzzle. Not with Ignatieff (read: main opposition leader, not person) one-to-one regardless of any topic. There will be enough time to discuss everything during the two debates.
