Bush: We should have bombed Auschwitz
kengs333 replied to kengs333's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
"The article" refers to the article in my post--I'm not concerned with your "first response in this thread"--and in the third paragraph it reads: -
Should ageing lesbians be allowed to indoctrinate children?
kengs333 replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
More towards the latter in your case... -

If you consider what Rue does as simply asking "to explain yourself" then you need to think again. Posting three, four, five times in a row in reponse to ONE of my posts is NOT normal. What outrageous claims? When have you yourself provided any references? -

Not a huge fan of Limbaugh's, but that's pretty much what it boils down to. -

Nice try, no cigar. Whatever the case, I'd prefer to know what I'm talking about and because on not knowing by some middling wannabe, than not knowing what I'm taliking about and covering the fact with sarcastic remarks and personal attacks. I'll tell you, though, you'll never have the chance to do the academic research I have, and I earned the right to because people with academic qualifications recognized my ability. What some middling know-nothing thinks is of no concern to me. Have fun reading your morning paper... -

What hatred? I could write a post solely with the word "the" and you would accuse me of fomenting hatred towards the word "it" by virtue of its exclusion. The sad fact of the matter is that you've stepped over the bounds when it comes to "challenging" me by obsessively and obnoxiously focusing on me and writing lengthy (sometimes multiple) posts everytime you think I've said something wrong. That, to me, constitutes some sort of inappropriate behaviour; cyber stalking, or whatever you want to call it... I know you've been warned about such behaviour in the past, long before I started posting here. Do us all a favour and knock it off. -

Guess what your use of non-existent phrases like "vapouress claims" make people think about you... I suppose the word you really are thinking you are using is "vapid," but whatever the case it's not accurate. I spend much of my day reading on various subjects, including, Canadian, European, military history, law, religion, Canadian politics, among other things; I research historical events, and have spent more time going through old newspapers, documents, etc. in library and archives both in Canada and Europe. Whether you believe me or not is no big concern, because my guess is that you academic career plateaued somewhere near the end of high school, and that your main source of information is the Internet and daily newspapers. A fact that you are self-conscious about, which leads to 9/10s of your posts being short put-downs and sarcastic remarks. I guess it gives you a certain amount of satisfaction that you can goad some people with your crude remarks, but it really is, in the end, small compensation for the intellect that you will always lack. -

We're talking about could it have happened and what would have been the results. -

Who said anything about "logistics"? Bombed railway tracks get repaired, trying to take out the gas chambers wipes out the whole camp. The article specifically mentions only the Jews as being saved by such a mission. -

No, there's somebody more clueless on here who thinks that the Americans won the Vietnam War. -

So were many of those responsible for the killings. Even MORE bizarre!!! -

What about the other 4 million or so...? We're talking about the bombing of Auschwitz, not our sense of outrage over the killing of millions of innocent people by the Nazi regime. You made a general statement about being ashamed of being Canadian, I merely stated that I do too at times. That's all. -

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Tony Blair was American's "closest ally," not the UK. -

I feel the same sometimes when people make pro-gay (marriage) arguments. -
Bush: We should have bombed Auschwitz
kengs333 replied to kengs333's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Yes, that's an interesting point. The Allies were, on one hand, supposed to bomb Auschwitz to stop the killing of helpless people, yet dopping nukes and firebombing cities was perfectly well within the bounds of acceptable warfare. -
Bush: We should have bombed Auschwitz
kengs333 replied to kengs333's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ugh. Where to begin with this one. First of all, much of the problem lay on the Russian side, as to whether they would actually co-operate; the landing of damaged Allied bombers on Russian territory itself was an issue with the Russian. Secondly, Auschwitz wasn't floating on water somewhere in Norway, rather was situated in the heart of Europe; it's a whole different situation. Thrid, like I said, the RAF did not engage in daylight strategic bombing raids, which is what the raid on Auschwitz would have had to have been. -

You mean the War of 1812? LOL. At the time, Britain was engaged in the Napoleonic War. North America was a side show, and still the Americans couldn't win the war. -
Should ageing lesbians be allowed to indoctrinate children?
kengs333 replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Well, yes there is a reason, because homsexuality is deviant sexual behaviour and it's no different than putting a picture of a man-boy-love partner or fifteen wives on their desk. Or do you think that beastiality, polygamy, incest, pedophelia are also NOT sexual deviant behaviour? -
Should ageing lesbians be allowed to indoctrinate children?
kengs333 replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I never said it had anything to do with the ability to teach. Persons of authority is another matter. Nice myth. People can be influenced into engaging in deviant sexual behaviour. People who openly adhere to a deviant sexual lifestyle contribute to its normalization, and people tend to engage in activity that is normalized in a given society. You mean Ted Haggard. Excellent example. Perfect example of how people who engage in sexual deviance slyly deceive and manipulate others in order to facilitate their lifestyle. No, the slag is warranted. Yeah, home schooled kids tend to be better educated and more knowledgeable than their public school counterparts. Not to mention more well adjusted and respectful. The accusation of "intolerance" when it comes to not wanting one's child to become a sinner or sexual deviant is getting rather old. Can't you come up with something better? -

Yeah, now find the link that says that they were marched on important roadways for the movement of troops and supplies. -

Oh, right, that old stand by. Well, I'll tell you what--there are a number of interesting books you may want to read about the movement of inmates from POW and concentration camps at the end of the war, that suggest what I'm arguing probably would have been the case. -

Shows what you know about Canada at the time. Britain was at war, so was the Empire. American, however, was too cowardly to join in the fight against facism--I wonder why...? -

As opposed to NO logic whatsoever... Rail lines and industry are two totally different things. Rail lines are easily repaired; factories, refineries, etc. not so easily, if at all. Oh, well, why?--because it's true?
