Finally a blow to Socialism and it's facist followers in England.
MMT replied to Moxie's topic in The Rest of the World
I find it strange that radical Islamists manipulate the "Race" term. I thought that Islam itself to be a major factor to unite them. Another words, it shouldn't be a difference between a White and Black Muslims. Am I wrong? -
Global Warming: Wisdom should dawn on the developed world!
MMT replied to Kalp's topic in The Rest of the World
It seems that UN really believes that cause of the GW has human activity nature (carbon dioxide emissions, etc.). Meanwhile there is an opposite point of view, that it caused by changes of the Earth magnetic field. The forecast is different than "official" one too. Mostly the developed countries would suffer when their seashore infrastructure would be destroyed by a raising ocean. Read article 'The Global Warming and the Future of the Planet' by Dr.Peter Khomyakov http://www.vdesyatku.com/GlobalWarmingEnglish.html -
Yes, and that's the main thing. I'd love to believe your assessments. But you must agree that it's all very vague. Your judgement is based on the article(s) you've read. You say these forces exist. But although you have identified them (NRN???), you didn't make contact with them. Is't that true? So maybe they're not there at all, and you're simply mistaken?

John Howard Tells Radical Muslims To Get Out
MMT replied to AngusThermopyle's topic in The Rest of the World
How about Swiss? Aren't they proclaiming the same? If you do not respect domestic rules - get out! Wasn't the last parlamentary elections couple of weeks ago all about that? Or you think it's a different story? -
Well, we still have to find out just how healthy they are...
-
Sure, but isn't the situation getting out of control? Mightn't we end up with an enraged zombie instead of a grateful ally?
-
Here we go, again "matches". You seem to be a big fan of firework. I'm not convinced why we should force a change in Russia. Why should we want a huge raging fire instead of a nice quiet semi-corpse?

The question is how. Do you seriously believe that the same approach which worked yesterday will work tomorrow? It does not seem so easy. Putin's regime is a police state. He went too far already. The article's quote: <<here again we could see a political and ideological problem. Putin's regime played too far the "patriotism" and anti-western rhetoric game. And the middle layer of the Russia's power structures (FSB – ex-KGB, police and army), who is the backbone of the regime, got truly believed in it. Therefore, the large-scale western capital invasion in the "Holiest of Holy", the Russian oil & gas complex, is simply impossible. If it happened now, it would be similarly strange as an imaginary invitation of the Al Qaida members to join the administration of the United States. Regardless of all kind of possible hypothetical promises and swears made by those "fellows", the situation would be completely unacceptable to America. >> So you think that this Russia's regime will stay obeying all the West commands? How would you answer another quote of the article? << And we repeat, that even if we believed in the political stability of the regime (in which the Kremlin so vigorously tries to assure everybody), the destabilization would still take place because of purely natural causes of the oil and gas industry collapse. How far the Kremlin could go when facing such destabilization? Would the recent light demonstrative RF's demarches against the consolidated western diplomacy in Venezuela and Iran be seemed as simply easy warm up then? >> This regime is already behaving as a dog not listening to the master. So what do you suggest a good master would do to such a dog? Try to teach it a lesson? Or change the dog? Do you still think that this dog is harmless to the master? You may say, let's kick the Putin's ass and put somebody else in the Kremlin's chair. OK. How easy is that? And who would you suggest to put in the chair? I guess, that's the questions which this article was striking. Do we have suitable answers?

Matches, eh? I'd probably think twice before selling an explosive to somebody who could set my neighbour's house on fire! Where's a guarantee that my own house won't be burnt by an accident or even on purpose? What would my insurance say???

Oh, absolutely! The "Czar" didn't go away, it is still the Russian empire up there, just keep changing the names... Russian people keep dying, a population is shrinking by over a million a year. And who gives a shit?!

I wanted to share with you new article "Russia to the West - is it a Threat or Hope?" by Peter Khomyakov. Will the Gazprom's broken commitments to the gas consumers be a natural cause of the Putin's regime death? I wonder if Canada and other western countries could benefit out of badly developed situation in Russia, or a "falling apart monster" could pull the rest of the world down to the hell? The article itself is here - http://www.vdesyatku.com/RussiaToTheWest.html Here's some quotes: "The West is pretty much satisfied by the modern Russia 's role as just an oil & natural gas suppler for the well developed world economies. And the West understands that the Putin's Russia can not change this status quo by any political measures." Then author briefly explains why Russia couldn't even hold such a role and concludes: "So the simplest math allows us to make a statement that RF will either fail its gas export commitments already in the year 2010, or it will sufficiently cut the gas supply to the local consumers, which would lead to a social explosion and the regime collapse. Because of in Russia they could tolerate a hunger and social degradation, but not homes without heating." Then he's asking "...Are there in Russia at least ideological factions (we even do not speak of the real forces) which stand for the full shape integration of Russia into the Western world?" and answers "...such groups exist. But they are absolutely not known in the West. That's partly for the reasons of a political competition in the opposition field. But that's also partly because of not very professional job done by some of the analysts. " And finally something for a dessert - "First. This movement sets a project of full integration of Russia into the Western world. But it denies such integration methods, which were used by the classic liberals in Russia in the 1990s... Second. This ideological trend is ready to give a "green light" to the western capital for the access to the natural gas fields, which Russia could not develop on its own. And not just gas. Few people are aware that there are two new oil field regions in Russia, which are not being exploited yet simply because of lack of the capacity and know how... Third. It is no secret that the ideological trend, being characterized here, has a sharp anti-Muslim vector. And in case of its political success it's ready to contribute actively to the West in solving the problems of Iraq and Afghanistan and so on... Yes, these ideological formations are marginal. But the Bolsheviks (the communists) were marginal in the winter of 1916-1917. And through just 10 months they became the rulers of Russia . Perhaps then many in the West deeply regretted that they timely didn't pay attention to this marginal group. Who knows, the history of the twentieth century could take a different path then." What do you think of all of that?

Russian empire will never be a honest partner with really democtatic west (with or without India). Only national Russian state will be.

I agree that in general Russians are proud to be Russians. I don't know about true cause of rising the new Russian nationalism (Yeltsinism or cultural roots), but few things seems to be important - they outline big difference between Russia and Russians (actually, they proclaim that Russia as a state always humiliated Russian people!) and they are going too far comparing with Dr.Brzezinski ideas. Quote - <<the “new Russian nationalists†not just followed prof.Brzezinski but probably already went too far ahead, because they now offer not just ideas of what to be done, but also a detailed plan of how it has to be done. Approximately a year ago they got new program called NORNA (which is latin abbreviation of National Liberation of Russian People). See http://www.nordrus.org/tactics/ for details if you are interested in. Also, it needed to be said that “new Russian nationalists†are not inviting Russian people to join the dying West (as the author of the article tried to present it). On the contrary, they lead Russians to the renewed West, which they are eager to build in place of Russian empire – so called Bright Rus. Quote: “we (the Northern Brotherhood) are more Westerners than the modern West itself, we bring the best years of the Western era; we are its Renaissance. We are a westerner’s hope to bring the West back to its legendary joyful youth.>> So it's true, comparing them with Brzezinski is quite simple to pay attention. But if all said in the article was true, then we might see a final defit of the Russian empire and new "Golden Age" for the revived West!

Isn't it the gov't who sets the immigration quotes? What stops it from changing priorities in the immigration policy and start inviting more white Europeans instead of believers in Allah? I thought after Harper "took power" it was already slight change in that policy. Didn't you notice? Or you're saying it's too little and too late?
-
Well, yeah "the sanction will only hurt the people more than the gov't". But perhaps as a next step the people could change their mind because of the sanction and deliver kind of message to their gov'ts or even change the gov'ts?
-
What would politicians gain from keeping such high rate of muslim immigration? Why not replace muslim immigrants with white Europeans? The government sets the quotes for different nationalities to enter Canada, doesn't it?

Allright, speaking of balkanization of Russia, what would you say about this material - "Is Z.Brzezinski really a Godfather of New Russian Nationalists?" http://www.vdesyatku.com/NewRusianNationalists.html It links Dr.Brzezinski strategy of "Russian Empire" destruction with so called "new Russian nationalists" who consider that Russia's collapse would be a blessing for Russian people. Any thought?
