  1. I already have but from the top: The King of Saudi Arabia died in 2015. Like Castro, he was not democratically elected, like Castro, he was a dictator, like Castro his humanitarian record is spotty to say the least. Harper had nothing but nice things to say in his statement of the Saudi King. In fact, his statement is little different than Trudeau's. Yet, partisan's like you and Derek go on about Trudeau's statement being embarrassing etc while ignoring the fact that no one cares. They did not care when Harper did his condolence suck up job in 2015 and no one will care about Trudeau's. It is being diplomatic. It is what leaders have to do. It is no big deal.
  2. And you should not assume the costs and technology of today will be the same tomorrow for renewables.
  3. Renwables may not displace NG but they don't have to. NG will be the base and renewables will replace coal and some oil (as vehicles are electrified). It is going to be a great disruption and Canada, as usual, will not be ready for it thanks to conservatives who don't mind billions of subsidies for O&G.
  4. When Harper was PM he spoke on behalf of Canadians, AND his wife Laureen, in his mourning and offering of condolences for the unelected King of Saudi Arabia:
  5. Yeah, because there is a statute of limitations on gaffes in an age of digital recording and storage.
  6. you do realize that for the CBC to go ad free it would be a good thing for their competitors who would take the entire ad market?
  7. Um, do you guys think that every time Trudeau speaks it's a gaffe? Is that why it is so "easy?" Nothing in there qualifies. It's not like he is talking about just walking up to women and grabbing them by the pussy. Now that's a gaffe.
  8. And nobody should be allowed to draw cartoons of .....amrite? amirite?

  9. Given that some people have been kicked off of flights for speaking arabic into their cell phones can't say I'm sympathetic. It's a make up call since the staff didn't remove him in the first place. Hence the need for clear policy against jerks like this and Orthodox jews like in the OP.
  10. And here we have a pro-Trump rambling idiot being forever banned from Delta AND the other passengers getting their flights comp'd: http://www.ctvnews.ca/business/delta-bans-rude-pro-trump-passenger-for-life-gives-refunds-1.3180399?campaign_id=A100 Now can they do the same when these jerk Orthodox Jews are as bad?
  11. Ha! those Nancy Reagan threads were fun. Man, she was a horrible hag. Glad public officials are more dipolmatic than anonymous me.
  12. So he said something but you can't cite what was said?
  13. People still not understanding this: natural gas is killing coal. Thanks to the free market. Renewables will be doing this to natural gas within 10 years even without carbon taxes. It's the free market, stupid. Get on board or forever chase a sunset industry (which is what Canada chooses every time).
  14. So a religious ritual is not religious if it can involve people outside of the religious group?
  15. Harder than it seems:

  16. So I have your argument right: are you saying that the Holy Eucharist is a "real" religious ritual whereas a little burning of sage is not a "real" religious ritual and, therefore, is "just" cultural? And, for further clarification, a baptism: is that not a "real" religious ritual too?
  17. No worries, Bubber, the rest of us are enjoying your posts.
  18. Sure, the issue being here that I have direct and personal experience with my hairstylist and her husband (and kid for that matter). I'm not saying that he has had free or even easy access but he went through the motions and got out and they have visited back and forth. Maybe it is because it is Canada rather than the US.
  19. Interesting because my hair stylist married a guy from Cuba and managed to bring him into Canada through immigration. They have gone back and forth to visit for the past 4 or 5 years. I think Bryan is right on this: people just don't know because they have no personal experience on this.
  20. Wah, wah! look what she's doing. How pathetic. Oh, and she did have a thread deleted - it was inappropriately named and compared the leader of Israel to Shrek with a picture which is against the rules. Looks like she re-posted with a better attempt at discussion the second time. Or at least kept it within the rules.
  21. People talk of Trump because he is a buffoon who happens to be PEOTUS. Trump will do what his minions do for the US while people focus on his silly tweets. Trudeau has been quite reasonable with Trump since his election, no? Trudeau has to walk a fine line of having to deal with the US buffoon on the one hand while dealing with voters in Canada who don't want him to play nice with yet another authoritarian, OTOH.
  22. Sure, Bubber should heed the advice: don't argue with a ...
  23. Yet you keep talkng about how Trump is going to outwit our "duh" PM. That our PM lacks gravitas or something because he makes stupid statements about a dead dictator but Trump is fine because he uses the "best words" and has the balls to grab women by the "pussy." Problem being that Harper has made stupid statements about dead dictators and you can't even bring yourself to admit the truth about it. It is always deny, deny, deny with you types. Can't even admit, when it is plain for all to see, that politicans do stupid things all the time and they usually become forgotten until the next gaffe when we have to bring it up and remind those who continue to keep themselves ignorant of history that these things have happened, and just recently too, and oh did you forget etc...
  24. Exactly. "Duh" is right. Harper was a crony for a dictator of Saudi Arabia hence in his own words "We join the people of Saudi Arabia in mourning his passing." http://pm.gc.ca/eng/news/2016/11/27/prime-minister-announces-significant-support-international-aid-while-attending-xvi We should always call out our leaders when they pull this crap.
